  1. 5 drinks wouldn’t get me through dinner much less post dinner show casino etc. In fact it probably wouldn’t even get me to dinner. They are not going to offer 10 different plans for people with different wishes
  2. I guess you are going to have to change you name now. I will stick with my CC dining where I have had some of the most amazing meals over the last year
  3. WiFi is not free in my house. I pay a monthly fee just like I pay on board. The free minutes were never enough so I am glad to see unlimited included in the Plus package To me that is like free since I can justify the package just on alcohol and gratuities. I like to keep up on news (Princess TV only has opinion no real news stations) and of course sports news and my daily wordle
  4. It may if you are getting a casino rate but then the Plus should be lower as well so this has to be a typo. Would love to know if anyone has actually booked and paid for this
  5. If cheese soufflé, beef Wellington and Rack of lamb do not appeal to you then I don’t know what to say those are all very appealing to me as are several apps. Plus crème brûlée is always welcome
  6. This looks like a great menu to me. Shrimp cocktail is so hum ho. And why does anyone care if the dessert menu is on a separate page ? Sounds very good for saving paper
  7. 60 is a heat wave. Can’t even get to 30 here in Oregon. The 11 inches of snow from Wednesday hasn’t even started to melt
  8. Because you have already paid a dining tip for the MDR which you didn’t use
  9. In many restaurants there is a mandatory tip for large parties
  10. On a US based cruise they would be given the non alcoholic drink plan.
  11. When you look at Princess’s page regarding embarking in Fort Lauderdale it says hat it is customary to tip porters
  12. Docked in Ketchikan twice in August on the Royal no issue
  13. You don’t tip your bartenders at land venues ?
  14. It will be very different since you are going from a Royal class to a Grand class. No bistro la Mer no full service Alfredo’s (pizza only ) etc.
  15. You don’t need to bid if you look at mini suites or full suites it will show you the price. What I don’t like is you have to arrange Princess Plus after the.fact rather at the same time you book. This is for booking on line as opposed to calling casino group. We have always booked the casino deals over the phone and upgraded to full suites and added Plus package at that time
  16. It means absolutely nothing we have cruised 4 times in the last year and never worried about groups and was never asked
  17. I had thought that most coffee not at the IC was made from syrup. That would be Buffet and MDR but I may be mistaken
  18. We had almost 11 inches yesterday here in Portland. We are about a mile east of the river. Glad we planned and have plenty of food in house. Some friends west of the river lost power last night and are still out. We have had power all the time
  19. Yes you need to subtract the WiFi and gratuities. Also how many bottles of water you will drink plus coffee drinks and soda since the are all covered by the Plus package. We usually tell friends if you drink around 3-4 drinks a day then Plus package is a no brainer. If you drink a lot of water and coffee drinks then even 2-3 would save money
  20. Only full suites and Elite guests get a mini bar. If you are both Elite and in a full suite you can get 2
  21. Have cruised Princess since 1992 and have never mustered outside. On 4 cruises in 2022 just watched the video and checked in at muster station. You can find your muster station on the inside of your cabin door
  22. There is only one line to get not the terminal. Since SF sailings attract so many locals they seem to all show up early. Once inside the building there may be a priority line. We arrived around 12:30 for a cruise in November and the line was down the Embarcadero. We took one look and walked across the street for lunch and a beer. An hour later we just walked right in
  23. This is not a big deal. If you are in a full suite you will be accommodated on embarkation night. We never book before getting on board and have always gotten a table. They set aside tables for full suites on that night. You can call the dine line, go to the venue or if you are on a Royal class ship the concierge can handle it for you
  24. That would mean no large ships in Alaska one of the most popular cruising areas. Lots of lost money if you only use small ships in that locale
