On the Ruby last week Vines had both tapas and sushi available whenever they were open. Free with any glass of wine and they even offered seconds. Edwin and Abraham were great at suggesting wines within the plan. The menu doe not always show all wines
You will have no problem getting into a specialty restaurant if you are in a full suite. The do not fully book them on embarkation day to allow for the suites
We were in covid jail in the Royal August 30. Then 6 days quarantine in Vancouver hotel. Had the push our CVP to escalate but finally got all FCC’s for time in isolation, $100 pp per day for Vancouver cruise quarantine and full reimbursement for hotel cost. You probably need to push to escalate or you may be waiting a long time
We have always been able to upgrade from the “free” balcony to a full suite and add Princess Plus. We do 2-3 of these cruises every year. In fact we are embarking today in San Francisco for a 10 day Mexico trip. Full suite, Princess Plus and $1,250 free play between us
We book 2-3 “free” casino cruises every year and have never had any canceled. Yes we get the stupid notice but payment always comes in around 10-14 days before the cruise. Packing now for a cruise on Tuesday medallions in hand and $1,250 in casino free play between the 2 of ud
We mask mostly in crowded situations like elevators and crowded shows. When we are sitting at a bar, eating or playing slots we do not mask. We have always hated the buffet so all of our dinners are in MDR (club class) lunch usually out on deck for burgers but some times IC We did get covid last trip in August but think it was probably the MTP on the first leg of a b2b when we were seated with a couple we didn’t know. Sailing next week on the Ruby will probably play it by ear
Just look at your travel summary at Princess website. If it doesn’t show there then talk to your TA. We always print a copy of the summary to avoid arguments with the casino regarding amount of free play
By the way it is 15 drinks if you can stay awake. I usually stick to wine with meals, maybe a beer with lunch, manhattan’s pre dinner and Lynchburg Lemonade in the casino
We got Paxlovid on board in August on the Royal. Pills cost $750 but the are also blood tests to rule out kidney issues and doctors fee. I paid just over $1,000. My health care provider reimbursed me when I returned
If you wait for Princess to get the FCC’s to you it will take forever. We bugged our CVP who escalated it and it still took 2 months. In our case we had to quarantine in Canada per their laws Hotel and meals close to $5,000 and just got that back last week. Still waiting on checks for our casino winnings since you can’t cash out from isolation
