  1. Like I said an earlier the demise of MTG luncheons is not an absolute. Captain Lewis loves the luncheons
  2. His family was on board in August really nice people we got to know them pretty well
  3. Aft penthouse suites have a desk with outlets next to one side or the other
  4. Did we bump into each other on the Grand. We were at 2 MTG luncheons
  5. He will be off before then He said he was tentatively to return to the Emerald but hoped for the Grand. We sail the Grand again in January and again in May
  6. I agree a bunch of cocktails costs way more than a couple of glasses of so so wine you get at the lunch
  7. His wife according to her. If it was one size fits all then there would not have been a combination of cocktail parties and lunches over the years. Still haven’t figured out what venue on Grand Class ships without Adagio’s you could close off the have such an event
  8. However I have already paid for my lunch in the MDR as well I will not drink less cocktails around the ship because I had a couple at a party. Also many of the people I know with 800+ days do not buy packages Not all drink like we do. If memory serves on the cocktail parties for MTG that I have been to in the past there were fairly heavy snacks served along with drinks. I believe these decisions are made by the captain and not corporate. On Grand class ships without Adagio’s there really isn’t anywhere to host an intimate cocktail party. They are not going to shut down Wheelhouse or Crooners
  9. That makes sense however while the cocktail party was going on did servers still come in and out from the casino for drink orders ?
  10. No I appreciate the feedback. We almost always sail in Penthouse Aft Suites. This is a last minute decision so only forward suites available. Kind of need to know if I need an extension cord
  11. L101 I believe is a balcony. We are in a Full 554 square foot suite and am wondering where outlets are located in the suite. Thanks for your input
  12. Actually after chatting with someone at our table a few weeks ago we all agreed to book a 16 day cruise in January. I do believe chatting with others can produce revenue
  13. Where on the Majestic was a cocktail party for 40 people held. I cannot recall a small enough area except for what used to be bar next to the casino which I believe is now used for slot machines
  14. We have never traveled in these forward suites before. Can someone who has been in one tell me if there are plugs next to the bed for a CPAP. The desk with most of the outlets seem to be all the way across the room
  15. And I am really not sure what guest/customer services would have to do with MTG which is run by future cruise department. We will be in the Majestic in about a month. We shall see if our 550 days even makes the cut
  16. A cocktail party in a MDR ? Where was the bar ?
  17. We were on the same b2b Yes they were really nice. Alaska cruises always attract lots of first time cruisers and there was no talk of cocktail parties and I had several discussions with Josh the head of future cruises who was the host at them
  18. We have only seen the Cocktail party on ships with an Adagio. Most ships do not have a location that intimate for just 40 people. On every other ship it has been a lunch as recent as earlier this month on the Grand
  19. I think we may have been at the same lunch. Captain Steve is one of our favorites
  20. I believe they are confusing MTP with Captains Circle parties The were be multiple parties depending on the amount of elites on board
  21. Please explain what packages have to do with the MTG luncheon
  22. The MTG lunch is limited to the top 20 people plus a guest There may be a few added if some don’t bring a spouse or guest. 40 total. We have around 550 days with Princess and get invited maybe half the time
  23. Packages would have nothing to do with the MTG lunch for 40 people on only one day of a cruise. Please explain your reasoning We always take plus package and there is nothing in that package that has anything to do with the luncheon
