  1. On Grand class ships Reserve Class breakfast is in mid ship deck 6. Regular breakfast is deck 6 aft. You can use the end elevators aft to get to the restaurant
  2. The app on your phones have a chat function. Just set everyone up as travel companions One little thing there is no audible notiy
  3. I have not seen any news that the plus package price is changing. The premier is going up to $90 per person per day but they added some things. No such news yet about plus I believe that is all speculation
  4. Just get yourself a CVP they can get you the right deal. We almost always get 30-50% off on suites. The off shore casino department is not your best option
  5. I don’t disagree with you about wine but we really only drink wine at dinner and plus covers all of our cocktail preferences so $60 extra per couple on 2-3 week cruises doesn’t really cost out for us.
  6. That must be a Super Tuscan dinner. We had a Tuscan lunch earlier this year the was very good an $46 per person
  7. Vines wines are only available when Vines is open. Most of those wines if not all are not available in other venues. If so with the plus package we just order a wine a little more expensive and pay my the difference. Paying $3-5 is cheap compared to the $30 per day difference per person for premier especially on 14-21 day cruises that we take
  8. You can get and make calls However check your plan about roaming charges. I once had to do a job interview while sailing and my international plan need as we pulled out of Naples and charges did show up. This was on AT&T. I would question your provider hard to believe you wouldn’t need some kind of special plan
  9. The 7 or 10 day dinner menus really don’t change a lot. You might have a few local dishes but even in Alaska they are limited and sometimes have added charges
  10. On the Grand a week ago Vines was open on sea days starting at 11:00 and on port days at 4:00
  11. I can’t remember the winery except that I think it starts with an E. It is listed at Vines at $15. I remember asking at Vines a few weeks ago how many cases they had. I usually had 2-3 glasses a day
  12. I am still waiting for the first cruiser with the new premier plan to be told when they go to book once on ship that they cannot get a table at the time they want I would love to see what happens then. I have seen so many posts from people who easy they can’t eat after 6:00
  13. What ever happened to going commando ? LOL
  14. Even as a suite guest we always call the dine line when we embark rather than just showing up. If the DD managers know you from the past then it might be easier but I do not book that meal in advance
  15. What I would do is put the laundry out the first morning of the 2nd leg and get a jump start over new cruisers
  16. If you are in a full suite it does not matter how many elites are on board dine they get priority over elites. In non suites I have waited 2-3 days often on our long cruises. However we always pack for 7 days so I can put out laundry on day 2 and usually have it back well before I run out of clothes
  17. Yes full suites get priority over elite laundry we usually get it back in 1day
  18. It is only on the Discovery and the Enchanted because the space was created when the ships were built. To add it to an existing ship you would have to create the space with all the audio visual effects which are unique and tot seen or heard in the rest of the deck
  19. We only use them to carry laundry down the hall and back. We have no reason to carry a bag around the ship or in port
  20. My opinion as well the package are for the cruise as it is booked. If you had b2b cruises booked as two 7 day cruises then you could have 2 different packages
  21. For 1 or 2 I would still recommend either calling the dine line that morning to make sure they can accommodate you. If your are a suite guest you probably have a better chance and always a better chance if you are willing to dine after 8:00
  22. Not trying to be funny but what do you wear to funerals ?
  23. And I have yet to see any written proof of free laundry tokens for elites. If you send it out yes it is free. As I said we usually spend $6 a cruise for dryers whibh is less than the price of a beer
  24. Come on over to an older ship. On the Grand recently every sea day lunch had a pasta or salad. Dinner had pastas once in a while but also steaks, pork dishes and chicken dishes
  25. Yes but Dolphin deck is 5 decks away from the lounge if I am not mistaken
