  1. And the casual dining spots here in the Grand have let us split one meal. That was at Alfredo’s (just one pizza nothing else) and Vines (one charcuterie plate). This was under the plus package last week. 2 pizza trips and one charcuterie and we still had 1 left if we wanted it. Neither venues were all that crowded
  2. It is a good experience but very expensive. It was free for me as a suite guest when it first rolled out. For me it is like the chefs table too much food and too expensive. You could go to specialty dining many times for the same price in a cruise and get real good food without portions that make you groan as they roll you out
  3. If you are referring to the 17 day May sailing yes it is a great itinerary and we are on it as well
  4. On the Grand right now and expressed to the manager at Crown Grill that one steak was enough for two of us and she said they will work something out this week. Not expected but would be nice
  5. And you don’t need the boarding pass to embark. It really only tells you the boarding times and your lane. No one will ask for it at the pier
  6. I like the Mortadella and Cheese sandwich’s. I know this is about treats but they are tasting as a snack
  7. I have never had any issue with dryness so I never put water in mine and haven’t for over 15 years
  8. We are sailing her twice in the first half of 2025
  9. I am on the Grand now halfway through a b2b. Ship in great shape, corridors coolish but not a big deal. Lots of hot water is shower. Captain and crew are amazing best service in years
  10. Was that the only piece of paper ? Usually there are many things regarding elite benefits like the lounge, grapevine etc. Gave you gotten those in the past ? If I didn’t see things I usually see I would be asking questions
  11. We opt each year for b2b starting in Vancouver. Who wants to have to go through that tunnel and deal with Anchorage’s airport. Done the land portion years ago no need to repeat
  12. No first day patter ? No ads for art auction etc ?
  13. There should be a one sheet piece of paper in your cabin if you are eligible for the lounge that gives specifics about hours and location. It is usually in a pile on the desk when you embark. Many people think the whole pile is advertising and toss them
  14. Yep that is what crew calls her
  15. Don’t really get a much larger pour but once I get to know the bartenders I find that some drinks just don’t show up. Makes that 15 last all day and night
  16. Almost halfway through 14 days on the Grand and I have to say a very happy crew. Personable captain and some of the best service on a ship since the pandemic. Been cruising since 1990 and just changed a cruise for January to this ship mostly for the chance to sail with some of these folks again.
  17. I have foregone the sport coat, tie and slacks. I dress the same each night. Short sleeve buttoned shirt, cargo pants and all birds shoes with no socks
  18. The captain on the Grand is not John Foster it is Steven Lewis
  19. On the Grand now and suite breakfast is in Sabatini’s
  20. Yes but at least when my CVP calls me I can see her name on my phone so I know that it is her and not the nimrods from Princess Promotions
  21. We are probably the outliers We always board after 1:30 to avoid Crowe and lines. We know we will have ship food for several weeks so like to have a nice lunch on shore prior to boarding
  22. We use a carabiner in our pocket. Large enough not to get lost but small enough to not show
  23. You do recognize that in some ports tourists are targeted for pick pocketing or other crimes
  24. To me the lanyard just screams tourist especially when I see people wearing them in port
