  1. Also many bloggers have group cruises and you can look at their website
  2. Sorry but I have never found a good light beer
  3. For instance Grand Princess August 14. Once we found a group of 400 SF 49er fans on a 4 day coastal
  4. Be very cautious when dealing with the contractors who now run future cruises I would not believe a word out of the mouths
  5. We also never reserve in advance and have never had a problem gettin booked once on board sometimes just walking up at 7:30 or 8:00
  6. Tenders only hold a limited number of people at a time so they can’t get any more crowded and Princess already prioritizes excursions over Elite now. We avoid all lines at embarkation by arriving after 1:00 and walking right on. Remember people also screamed when they went from days to cruise credits and people did a bunch of 3 or 4 day cruises solo or in a suite to get to elite quicker The lounges and tenders are not more crowded now then 15 years ago
  7. There will be no large wait. If they need to they just push out the area that reserve dining covers. We sail reserve class every cruise and have never waited more than a few minutes
  8. Yeah but we disembarked in. Canada another 6 days quarantine in a hotel where you can’t get service. No one was able to even the room
  9. No. I had Covid last year on the Emerald you stay in your own cabin if your cabin mates are not positive they can go about the ship as usual You get room service and booze delivery. It is a drag but better than right after the restart when they sent you to the quarantine deck
  10. Our normal cruises are 14-21 days. Plus works great but even when we do 10 day cruises the premier still doesn’t work for us. Our normal drinks fit under plus
  11. My guess is that most of us with 500 + days book pretty much in advance I have cruises booked for this year and next for about 70 days. Heck my last cruise a group at my table at most traveled lunch were first time cruisers who won lunch though premier prizes and on one last year the most traveled brow beat future cruises into letting them bring people they met on the cruise
  12. I don’t see it as a cash grab. I see it as a way to get new cruisers because this really means that this does nothing for those of us who cruise Princess on a regular basis and are already elite. Double credits when I already have over 50 cruises does me no good at all and I have already booked all my cruises for the next 18 months
  13. I rarely have a problem on my cell phone with Safari
  14. You can google cruise ships and dates and usually find out well in advance if there are large groups booking. They usually have web sites.
  15. We never arrive for boarding till after 1:00 for a 4:00 sailing
  16. It looks like most premier packages are being sold on short 4-7 day cruises. When we are on 14-21 day cruises I see few people with premier or the specialty and casual venues would be more crowded. I have also seen people who had plus packages and didn’t even know it
  17. Semantics and the 18% on drinks if you don’t have a plan is a tip and can’t be removed
  18. Each person is different if I had to pay for 8-10 drinks a day at $15 per drink I would be in the hole every day. Also I would never remove tops for anyone. That person will need to have their bed made and will eat in the dining room. Stiffing the crew is not the right concept to pass on to children.
  19. The deafening noise in the piazza on Royal class ships turns me off. Each to their own. With so many bars and food venues surrounding that area is just turn off for me
  20. Every ship bathroom as I remember has a slight step up
  21. I have friends who have to remind their kids when they get home to hang up towels, put things away etc.
  22. On those sea days we will often just look at the menu and if we don’t like anything we will grab a charcuterie plate to share at Vines or something from lido. On port intensive cruises it is not a big deal
