  1. We always board early afternoon after a late breakfast or early lunch on shore. Don’t need to fight the crowds or stand in lines. Just walk in and get on board within a few minutes after 1:00 or so
  2. You can use cash in the slot machines but must cash out to your casino account with the medallion
  3. Just hope you don’t lose it our get mugged. Those documents are worth a lot on the open market. The cruise line will not advise you to take your passport ashore
  4. We did this a few years ago to see constellations and it was pretty 😎
  5. I believe they are referring to an experience th the theatre like a planetarium where project thins against ceiling and walls. There have done this before to show constellations
  6. Don’t ever let them mess with anything that involves casino rates. They have no idea what they are doing and will promise you rates and a day later say oops sorry
  7. Yes it is hard to compare $2.50 cans of coke to $12 cocktails. Apples and Oranges
  8. We have brought potato chips back to ships since bars don’t supply them anymore. Buy some Pringles that are sealed no problem bringing on ship
  9. What I was referring to was referring to it a specialty dining could lead people to think it is like Crown Grille at $39 per meal when it is $149 per meal
  10. If you only have a few sodas or coffees it would pretty hard to justify that is why most of us think of it in cocktail terms.
  11. I totally agree. I have friends who used to work in future cruise departments for Princess and they have all transitioned to either concierge jobs or as CVP’s
  12. I don’t think you can apply a premier package freebie to the 360. It should be shown as experiential dining as it cost much more than places like the Crown Grille
  13. We almost always book on board on the day we want. However we never eat dinner prior to 7:30. I always see packed venues at 5 and then empty restaurants at 8:00
  14. Then on a port intensive cruise you probably shouldn’t take the package. We would use it since we don’t ever go to bed before midnight or 1am
  15. Even on port days we will average at least 2 drinks before dinner, wine with dinner and at least 3-4 drinks in the casino if not more. Specialty restaurants started showing up in the late 1990’s. Even in those days things like chefs dinner were available for extra money. The major difference was that there was no anytime dining. If you didn’t like the 2 times available for dinner your only option was the buffet.
  16. In reality the old days were totally ala carte. We still pay for the cabin we want and can have ala carte if we want. But now we have options that may or may not suit your personal style. In the old days we had to pay per drink for some of us that added up to lots of money now I can get a package that takes care of that. Packages are designed for people who want the items included not for everyone
  17. On the Ruby in April and missing several items. They said they were out of them and removed it from our casual meal allotment
  18. Or a vegetarian but sounds good to me
  19. Working out in the gym is a great way to meet people. There will also be a meetup in the patter for singles
  20. My go to at Sabatini’s for pasta is either the Carbonara or the Lobster Tortolinni. I usually have that after an appetizer as my main and then have room for a decadent dessert It all about quality over quantity
  21. If they were not satisfied when the pasta came out they had the option of asking for a different one. I also assume they had numerous other courses. We always go to specialty venues when we see menus we don’t like Going outside at night for a burger or slice of pizza is not the same
  22. I only listen to see much misinformation the ONE consultant gives out. Like “you have to have a midship cabin in Alaska “
  23. I would never ever take my passport off the ship in any port. Princess will tell you to take a valid ID and your medallion. My passport goes into the safe on boarding and stays there until we disembark except for those cruises where the cruise lines take your passport for certain itineraries
  24. The freebies aren’t Pandora but there is a separate shop that is
  25. Princess actually does has a Pandora shop
