  1. Why are there so many comments about non Princess ships on a Princess thread ?
  2. I have 2 cruises on her in the next 12 months hope you are wrong. One is a very unusual 17 day Alaska cruise
  3. Never needed the boarding pass since restart. Just wave your medallion and walk in
  4. Can’t really see booking a suite and sleeping on a cot. Sorry
  5. Restaurants on land don’t let customers put their hands on all the food. On ships buffets we have watch people use their hands to go through cold cuts, cheeses etc.
  6. We stay as far from the bow as possible after having had a cabin where the anchor chain woke us up in the morning
  7. Oh we finally got things fixed from the Future cruises folks mess but it took hours and time out of our vacation. Never again
  8. Yes different cabins are available on the 20 day than on the 2 10 day cruises we have booked both ways and often get better cabins and more perks by booking as 2 cruises
  9. You can watch people just walk on past those stations without even looking at them
  10. It is more the people who refuse to wash hand and refuse to use tongs. We had someone right in front of us grab some premade sandwiches with his hands and when we objected relied so what I’m not sick. Last time ever at any buffet
  11. We avoid the buffet for the entire cruise if possible
  12. Remember a certain amount of tables are set aside on embarkation night for full suites who get a complimentary dinner that night and can book when they get on board
  13. We are booked on the Grand for a special 17 day Alaskan cruise in May 2025. Wonder if these changes will affect that
  14. I saw someone last week on a train from Vancouver to Seattle and an individual had $8,500 in cash with him that he put on his declaration. This entailed quite a discussion with US customs when they came on board
  15. Then you have not gotten a payout of over $1,200 on any one bet. These are paid by hand and you get a tax form at that time. It has happened to us many times
  16. Eating in port is a great chance to try different cuisines as well as avoid the buffet where we observe people not washing and pickup food with their hands or the grill where everything is cooked on one flattop which is rarely cleaned. We have actually gotten sick there
  17. Any ship can have an outbreak of Covid and Noro. If they do they are going to have a real complete scrubbing and there is no more danger on that ship or a different one. People bring disease on board and it can happen on any ship.
  18. Can anyone confirm if there is a section of Pandora charms in the shops on the Grand ?
  19. I think that anyone who has cruised even a few times know that things like casinos and spas are contractors and have been for a long time
  20. Please note many suites cannot be booked for 4 people. As far as I know only the premium suites which are usually extremely forward and family suites will handle 4. Also this assumes that there will be no intimacy. This might work for a family but I don’t see it working for 2 couples
  21. Anyplace but the buffet
  22. Except that fast food workers always have name tags with the name of the food company but hardly any of them work for the parent company since most fast food places are franchises with different owners
  23. There are 2 types of mini suites. Regular and Reserve. Reserve minis include dining the the Reserve section of the dining room. Extra entree, no wait and great service. They are also midship and more expensive
  24. I would think it would be a little uncomfortable for 2 adult couples not to mention a lack of closet space and bathroom time
