  1. So is Reserve dining in Botticelli the whole cruise ? On most Grand Class ships it has been in De Vinci the last few years Sailing B2B Alaskan cruise in the summer
  2. I assume you have a fully stocked refrigerator. Do you never go out to lunch or dinner ? It would be a lot cheaper to eat all your meals at home. The only lunch available on port days on ship are the buffet and burger/pizza slices on deck. I don’t consider those as perfectly good food.
  3. You really need to define staff. As far as I know all stewards, waiters, cooks, bartenders, laundry workers etc are all employees of Princess. Spa, Future cruises and casino employees are all contracted by the venue
  4. Covid, the flu , the common cold, Noro etc are still around and zi doubt they will ever go away completely. Vaccines do keep the symptoms down for Covid and flu but cannot completely prevent them. That is a fact of life we still cruise 3-4 times a year total around 60 days total We bring masks for situations where there is an out break and test about every 10 days while traveling. We have both had covid twice but the symptoms have been mild I believe because we are vaccinated twice a year
  5. No CVP I know would ever call themselves an advisor. This has all the signs of “Princess Promotions”. They are a 3rd party not Princess employees although there calls show up on your phone as Princess They have absolutely no idea of what they are doing. Also Princess would not just assign a CVP if you have a TA
  6. You mean like resort fees at hotels that have like 3 pieces of equipment in there gym ?
  7. Free mini suites reported by people who have never even been in a Princess casino is obviously a glitch. I called this out as soon as I saw it. Our last bounce back offer after 10,000 points was only free interior and $100 free play. This was very clearly a glitch in the system
  8. No. If you have a plus or premier package including drinks Wi-Fi and customer appreciation there is no fee and no fee for room service via the phone
  9. There is a Starbucks outlet inside my local Safeway. Does that mean the grocery store is responsible for the Starbucks franchise ?
  10. Then we should be screaming about the high pressure tactics in the spa. That and their insistence on waiver forms
  11. And I would rather spend that $40 on a specialty dinner even though people tell me on other threads that I have already paid for a meal in the MDR. Each to their own
  12. Even on port days I still somehow manage to get in 8-10 drinks while on ship. Still saving money
  13. If I couldn’t afford a specialty dinner or lunch on shore I probably couldn’t afford a cruise fare
  14. I also have paid for lunch on board on port days but choose to eat at restaurants on land. So I guess I am paying twice for lunch
  15. We always try to book aft suites as the balconies are much larger than any mid ship balconies
  16. My interaction here have always been in response to post #12 which is where the narrow balcony was a main reason of not lounging on your own suite balcony
  17. Under that reasoning you should eat about 5 meals a day. Since you have already paid for burger grill, pizza slices, buffet and MDR. It reminds me of the people that say “ you can eat all you want “. While they run you down with their scooter. The same logic says why should I pay tips for people doing their jobs
  18. My CVP laughs when the conversation goes to “promotions”. Most think it was a bad idea
  19. We have never had a problem booking 7:30 reservations on the day we decide to eat at a SD. We look at the nights menu in the morning and if we don’t like the choices we just go to Sabatini’s or Crown Grille
  20. This thread had to do with booking a mid ship suite with a narrow balcony and then paying for the Sanctuary for lounging space. We just book the suites with large balconies and use that for our lounging
  21. And my point is why would you book a small balcony if private lounging area is important to you. At $40 per person per day would cost well over $1,000 on a long cruise that in my pinion could be used for many other things. Having had one of those mid ship suites in the past never again.
  22. The casino will be closed and only 1 bar per deck will be open. Lunch probably ok in MDR
  23. Every ship has a few. If you don’t like Salty Dog and I don’t like it either. We usually do some meals at Vines. But on most Grand Class ships that is it. More options on Royal class. Personally we take the plus package for drinks, WiFi and tips. The casual dining for us is just an extra we may or may not need. Mostly it is the drinks that saves us money
