  1. I certainly don't disagree! I was referring to the 4" stack of photos I have stashed in my closet! I bet only 10% of them are "keep" worthy, but keep them I do!
  2. It's really a shame that people do that. Ruins it for those that legit don't drink and don't need the pkg.
  3. Any idea if the Plus package will have to be purchased by every person in the cabin if purchased on board? DH doesn't drink anything other than 1 or 2 sodas a day, so it's never made sense to buy it when we'd both have to.
  4. I did that too, on 2 different cruises! A waste of paper, I realize now. I didn't do it, but I considered buying a nice frame, framing one of the prints, and including 11 others with it as my gag white elephant gift this Christmas, with a note they can change the picture out every month.
  5. Another idea would be to pay off the cruise to a zero balance, then take the unused portion of your gift card with you and apply it to your onboard account. You could also calculate what all of your onboard expenses would be and buy the discounted gift cards to cover that too. I did that my last cruise and had a balance due of less than $5 at the end of the cruise.
  6. Cans are allowed per their rules. Bottles aren't.
  7. 2 people, 3 suitcases, each containing a 12 pack of canned diet coke. I'd presume as the suitcases were being scanned, they'd have no idea of how many other cans we were bringing. YMMV.
  8. Yes, and it gets charged directly to your credit card on file, but not on your onboard account.
  9. I have another question. I just booked EZAir for our upcoming B2B TA. I booked the cruise onboard, but the booking was automatically transferred to my travel agent (not a problem). When I need to pay for our flights, does that amount roll into the cruise fare due and gets paid all together through my travel agent, or do I pay Princess directly for the flights? And can I use Princess gift cards to pay for EZAir? TIA!
  10. On the Discovery last week, my sister was sailing with 4 in their cabin. On day 3 (I think) their request for a 2nd cabin was granted. $340 (I think) for a deluxe balcony. The original cabin was a standard balcony.
  11. On the Discovery last week, there *was* a notification, but it flashed up top, then promptly disappeared, so it was useless unless you happened to be looking at your phone at the exact right moment!
  12. I don't recall the exact figures, but I just booked a B2B cruise onboard, and I got OBC from my FCDs, some more OBC from the Best Ever Sale, and even more OBC from booking onboard. And since I always book with a travel agent, the booking automatically got transferred to them and I'll get the perks from them I always get.
  13. I went to the desk and got a copy first thing upon boarding. I don't believe one was in the cabin when we got to it, but there's been one left every night, without having to ask. And I agree, the app's Journey View is less than helpful!
  14. Yes, this! I checked our account yesterday and there was a $30 charge on the 30th for Misc Food Purchase. It was easily removed, but I was a bit concerned that CS couldn't tell me what it even was for!
  15. Yes, of course. Please excuse the slight error.
  16. Now, like @iamaqt2, I have to compliment Princess on the way they handled my critique of the service issues. When we went to the Elite lounge tonight, a supervisor approached me and thanked me for my feedback, and to offer further apologies. The apology felt heartfelt and thorough. She arranged to have a bottle of prosecco delivered to our cabin to make up for the prior evening. Unexpected and unnecessary, but I felt valued. Then at dinner tonight, one of the dining room supervisors approached me and again thanked me for my comments, and apologized for the situation. I'd like to think changes will be made to speed things up. I truly feel that Princess is listening to us, and I would urge each and every one of you to leave honest, straight forward feedback on the post cruise survey. If areas of concern aren't being brought to their attention, it's difficult for them to address the situations.
  17. I don't know if they deliver in the theater or not anymore. I haven't seen one enter at all either before or during the 3 shows I've attended this cruise.
  18. I haven't seen enough of him to form an opinion. I've seen better and I've seen worse.
  19. This is what good, decent people do! I'm glad your situation seems to be resolving itself. I always leave good, honest feedback on my post-cruise survey, and try to downplay any negatives (which are rare), presuming they were just "one of those things". However, there was a little form left in my cabin last night, asking what my first impressions of the cruise are so far. I hadn't planned on filling it out, but this evening I thought, they asked so they must want to know. I wrote about how lunch today in the MDR took about 1½ hours, and that it took over ½ hour to get a drink in the Elite & Platinum Lounge, when I had gotten there right when they opened at 4:30. I wouldn't normally comment on one incident or the other, but both in one day, coupled with slower than normal dinner services our first 2 nights, prompted me to fill their form out. I understand staffing issues, and generally don't complain to management, and I hope my comments do some good. On a good note, the food has been really good, the staff is friendly, and we're meeting some really nice people.

  21. This is our 1st time on the Discovery, and she really is a pretty ship. We're in an obstructed view deluxe balcony cabin on deck 8, and I don't think it's my imagination, but the bathroom seems quite a bit smaller than others we're used to. Is it just me, or do any of you feel the same way?
