  1. We were on the Eclipse Hawaii to Vancouver this past May. We noticed significant cuts in the MDR appetizer menu. There were always several interesting choices in the past. This cruise several nights just salads and a soup ( due to dietary issues I cannot eat salads or beans, corn etc) so many soups were out for me. The filet and prime rib were still in the menu as was the lobster. The lobster was so tiny we thought anyone who ordered an extra for $17 were crazy. Lamb chops ( which were my husband’s favorite) were replaced by roast lamb. My husband found it tough and full of gristle. Our waitress replaced it but was just the same. We have been loyal Celebrity cruisers for 25 years and know things will not be the same as it was but come on Celebrity.
  2. Thanks for your review. We haven’t cruised to Alaska but are considering for the future. Our very first cruise was also on the Century 25 years ago and completely hooked us on cruising. Wow, was she a wonderful ship! We really do miss the Michael Roux partnership!
  3. Very much enjoyed your review, especially of the Rocky Mountaineer. So detailed. Can I ask which tour company you used for your Lake Louise tour? Thanks.
  4. We went on our recent Eclipse cruise ( Hawaii) and enjoyed it very much. We asked about it when we got on board and we’re able to sign up..
  5. Looking forward to “cruising” along with you on all your upcoming cruises!
  6. Will be on the Summit to Canada this coming September and very much looking forward to trying poutine!
  7. We did the Warnemunde and Restock tour thru Celebrity several years ago and really enjoyed it. Restock is a university town ( as I remember) and my husband, a college prof, really enjoyed it. Very charming little town. We had lunch (included) when we returned to Warnemunde and our guide, a very personable young man, actually stayed with us when lunch was over and walked some of us around town, on his own time. He took us to a grocery store as requested to buy some local foods. We all also bought some German wines, which at the time, we were allowed to take to our cabins. Enjoy.
  8. Hi Ken, Please post a link on this board your next adventure off another cruise line. So much enjoy following along with you. Thanks.
  9. What a amazing gift for your nephew! We recently we’re on the Eclipse Hawaiian cruise ( around the islands and back to Vancouver). Every time I checked the Cafe Bacio they never had those lemon tarts. I was really looking forward to them!
  10. Looking forward to another adventure with you. We’re supposed to do similar cruises but one cancelled due to Covid and next one cancelled as husband needed surgery for spinal stenosis. Enjoy!

  12. There is usually a second Cafe Bacio as you enter the Oceanview cafe on the side ( not sure about M class ships).
  13. Just wondering how cold it gets at the top of the volcano and suggestions for appropriate clothing. Thanks.
  14. Very much enjoying your live review. what were the martinis you had at the Rondevous lounge -lemon drops? mitched - love your sense of humor. That my type of shower bar.
  15. The eggplant parm looks yummy. We were on the Reflection when they first opened Luminae ( they were actually bring the chairs on board as we boarded). My husband ordered eggplant on night and it was “de-constructed” and very weird. He was not a fan.
  16. Jim, Can you let us know on the Celebrity forum when you post a live review on another cruise line so we can follow along. Really have enjoyed all your reviews.
  17. Have your OS try Bonine instead of Dramamine. Same effect without the drowsiness. Enjoy!
