Glad you didn't get much damage. When we were home owners, it was always a fear. Since we're now in an apt. building and haven't gone out, not sure about surrounding damage. There is some water damage near our elevator extending down some feet in the hallway. Very powerful rain and wind. Plants brought in from our balcony and the American flags affixed on the railing are flapping like crazy. Lull in the rain now with more to come later in the day. BTW, I am getting double pages on this thread again. Same posts on 4904 and 4905.

I just typed a lovely post about our afternoon at the pool. It went poof into cyberspace...sigh. Anyway, we had a great time. My friend brought 2 bottles of Moscato. She knows me so well. Others brought beer and more. Someone brought chocolate covered rum balls and trust me, the rum was added with a heavy hand. Lots of dips, munchies. This was planned totally last minute. About 14 were there. Music was piped in. Not just listening music but OUR music, songs of the 60s/70s, so we danced and sang to our hearts content. Motown, Grease, Beatles, Neil Diamond, Billy Joel, etc., etc. Wonderful trip down memory lane.

Bethany, may all your birthday wishes come true! Are you enjoying our 95 degree weather today? Humidity below 40%. We were just invited to come down to our complex pool to party hardy. Rumor has it wine will be served with lots of munchies. Luckily, I just bought my favorite dill dip yesterday so that and a bag of chips will be our contribution.

Every time I book a cruise, I am bombarded with daily "sale" emails for weeks. Very disappointed that nothing new has been added. Same email, same sales, on and on ad nauseum. I don't want to unsubscribe for fear of missing an email that really matters. Anyone else feel the same way? Of course, booking a cruise is happiness. I get that but sometimes my annoyance level is higher than it should be.

I thought the point of an extended warranty is that repairs are covered? Oh my I am so glad the doctor said no worries. Good luck on your surgery next week! When we were in WDW my daughter was 5 and we went on the small world ride multiple times. MULTIPLE. When we got back home, we ventured into the Disney Store at the mall and that song played over and over. I wanted to SCREAM!. CC somehow removed the part of @Sunshine3601 Debbie's post where I can reply. I wanted to comment that even half of $125,000 is a nice piece of change. I read Sam lived in a hotel due to covid. I believe I read Sam changed her management team or record label. Not sure what the real story is. Not too many stories like hers.

Oh, George, I can so relate!!!!! I couldn't stand Katy's drama and her many different outfits, hair styles. I liked the original 3 judges the best; Simon, Paula, Randy, although I did like Keith Urban's mellow appeal. Worse Idol judge ever, my opinion - Ellen Degeneres. We can probably rule out Kelly Clarkson who left judging the Voice to concentrate on her talk show, music, etc., but yes she would make a great judge. In my opinion, the first 5 seasons of Idol were the best, but it's all subjective. I'm not sure many are aware of GaGa's talent. Her "Sound of Music" segment honoring Julie Andrews and her duets with Tony Bennett showcase her major talent.

@jmh2006 Jennifer, thanks for the update on Dave's successful blast. Full steam ahead for a glorious cruise! @HBE4 Very weird of Katy chowing down on pizza. I was disappointed that she didn't give her own personal goodbye. I remember Simon Cowell's heartfelt goodbye when he left the show. Big difference. I love Abi's choice for Katy's replacement: Lady GaGa.

Yay!! I am so happy Abi won American Idol. @jmh2006 Jennifer, best wishes for Dave's kidney blast today and have smooth sails on your upcoming cruise. @sgmn Sue, thank you for posting your beautiful pictures. Question: Do you have to use your Diamond vouchers inside the Diamond Club? Keeping fingers crossed that we'll be Diamonds in time for Bella 02! Having early seating, we'll have to get there after dinner.

I'm watching American Idol as I type this, with hopes Abi wins. So talented, a pleasure to listen to her. My 92 year old neighbor went to the ACM awards a few days ago. It was held in an indoor 12,000 seat stadium 10 mins. from where I live. She loved Jelly Roll! I was so impressed at her music knowledge. She is the most savvy lady of any age. Impeccable, a real fashionista, always on the go. I told her I want to be like her when I grow up 😊 The stadium, btw, is a Dallas Cowboy practice facility.
