  1. @BirdTravels Is correct! Just note: If any REFUNDABLE OBC remains on your account, you will be directed to receive your CASH refund, within 24 hours of disembarkation, at the Guest Services desk!
  2. Two things: 1) No matter how obtained, NCL allows only $1000 OBC per stateroom (Refundable/Non-Refundable). 2) If your OBC is REFUNDABLE, you may "cash-out" within 24 hours of disembarkation. (In fact, they insist!)
  3. You would only be able to get CASH by going to the casino and paying their fee to cash-out, OR, wait until 24 hours of disembarkation and cash-out at Guest Service Desk!!!
  4. You would most likely be told to obtain cash in the Casino (for a fee), until 24 hours prior to disembarkation!
  5. If you pre-purchase NCL OBC, you will immediately need to pay for it at time of purchase! If you do not spend the entire OBC while onboard your cruise, you will need to go to GUEST SERVICES to obtain your refund in CASH within 24 hours of disembarkation! (As always, NCL rules are subject to change!)
  6. @zzdoug Hopefully your arrangements work well for you. If so, that seems like a sweet deal. However, because of the OP's 2 week stay post cruise, they can only hope to get good NCL arranged airfare to Barcelona. @doolfan The actual flight details would not be available to you until much closer to the cruise date (Currently, approximately 30-45 days seems to be normal).
  7. Call NCL and ask. However, you will NOT get a "cash refund". You might be offered an upgrade (if available) for additional costs. Or, possibly, an Onboard Credit (NON-REFUNDABLE).
  8. We have been on over 2 dozen NCL cruises and I cannot recall ever seeing MAINE LOBSTER in any of the restaurants. The small tails they UPSELL are not likely what you desire!
  9. You may cancel up to 121 days prior (don't wait until day 120 prior). Therefore, mid-November. https://www.ncl.com/about/payment-schedule
  10. I ordered package for DH only during special promo pricing <$49, almost a year ago, and haven't seen that deal again since.
  11. We feel that they take some great pictures, but I only ordered just the small package. We received: 1x FREE Light Up Frame (fun), 2x FREE Photo Lanyards with Charms (actually pretty nice), 1x Welcome Aboard Photo, 1x Route Map with Welcome Aboard Photo. We are happy with our purchase. Your package should include your selection of 8 total photos that you allow them to take during your cruise. When embarking, stop for that photo to be taken! Then, the others could be during port stops, and/or during meals or events... your choices of eight photos total included in that price. You might choose to have them take more than 8, but your package includes 8 photos for the price. Others that you might want to purchase would be at their current price. (We did not ask about the price, since we only had the one photo only taken.)
  12. Thank you for confirming! I don't like giving outdated info. We have not received any for recent cruises, so I thought that perhaps they ended the practice. (Not that we needed them, but they might "feel reassuring"!)
  13. I honestly don't know if they still do this, but, you could call NCL and ask for an "Amenities Invoice" showing the assorted OBC amounts.
  14. I'm certain that you misunderstood what I posted. IF at the end of the cruise, there remains unspent onboard credit (variable amounts, per excursion, for cruisers) NCL refunds the unspent, REFUNDABLE, amounts in cash, prior to disembarkation. This can only be completed by physically going to the Guest Services desk (within 24 hours) prior to disembarkation. This has been NCL's practice for each of three cruises we have completed in 2022. Also, we have been delayed while in line to disembark because people didn't realize that cash refunds would NOT be made to their credit card... they HAD TO return to Guest Services to settle their accounts. NCL has not been refunding PORT TAXES (there are multiple posts with this information)!
  15. NCL has NOT been refunding Port Taxes for missed ports this year (at least, not since April)! They have been refunding "REFUNDABLE" onboard credits (such as cancelled Shore Excursions) with CASH on the final Sea Day.
  16. It is possible that the Villas have already SOLD OUT (Spring Break tends to create high demand). I had booked ours (for recent a cruise) well over a year in advance! NOTE: The Shore Excursion desk folks often tell people to keep checking... Afterall, people do occasionally change plans (for various reasons).
  17. You are mistaken! The Encore did dock at Taino Bay on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, and it was a nice, easy, walk into the Taino Bay complex to gather for excursions, or for shopping in the stores there.
  18. I believe you are in for "sticker-shock" on the price of virgin drinks on NCL! If I remember correctly, they are more like $7. Coffees at Starbucks are price approximately $2 more than our local Starbucks. Milkshakes are definitely NOT $5.00!!! (Think more like pricing at airports!!!)
  19. Since you utilized a travel agent, they should be able to clarify which you have. But, in either case OBC is exactly that (ONBOARD use), and NOT usable for pre-cruise purchases! If you do not use all of your REFUNDABLE OBC, Guest Services onboard will give you cash back on the Final Sea Day.
  20. We cruised in November, and also just returned from a 9-day cruise. Laundry special: $29 to fill (now smaller) bag!
  21. You can book an NCL POST-CRUISE Shore Excursion: https://www.ncl.com/shore-excursions/search?destination=Extraordinary+Journeys,Mexico+Cruises,Pacific+Coastal+Cruises,Panama+Canal+Cruises&port=LAX OR, (It appears that you are new to Cruise Critic, here is a link for the forum that might be helpful to you!) https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/315-west-coast-departures/
  22. I forgot about write-on tags! We have never used that option.🙃
  23. @BirdTravels & @FLcruisergrl, I agree with you! However, their opportunity passed them by already. @graphicguy gave them the best answer, since there needs to be some leeway for those "LAST MINUTE" bookings (closer than 3 days)! @troyphoto As for luggage... either they need to carry-on theirs. Or, perhaps send all luggage to your stateroom?!?
  24. Prices are certainly varied across the board. Most $50(or under) are either equipment rentals, or they are for short excursions in the US Virgin Islands or such, but there are some available!
