  1. You might get the Club Orange "extra item" menu. Otherwise, no, there isn't a special suite menu.
  2. From your other post: Or, if you look around over there, you will find this discussed frequently. You may show up any time, and in most cases, will be able to board sooner. Boarding usually starts between 11:30 and 12. When are you sailing? The assigned boarding times can vary up to about 2 weeks out, when a bar code appears on your boarding pass, and your "official" boarding time is assigned. Again, not usually strictly followed.
  3. There is always the possibility of them being sold out. First of all, some sights, locations or activities have capacity limits. Secondly, Alaska is heavily dependent on seasonal labor coming in from outside of Alaska...and it hasn't returned well since Covid, so there can be fewer services offered.
  4. There is a Waldorf Astoria there, a beach resort.
  5. Lanai is a pretty good place to snorkel...if they still offer the 10am sailing. Make sure it is out of Lahaina Harbor, which I suspect it is.
  6. Take a look at Google Maps and note the restaurants in the Fisherman's Wharf/Pier 39 area. Go to their websites and look at their menus. The reason I suggest that is because we in the Bay Area may not call those things by the name you are accustomed to...so I don't know if we have anything similar.
  7. Both are mentioned here quite frequently. Doubt you could go wrong with either.
  8. As cruise excursion people get first tender dibs...0830 might be a challenge.
  9. Technically, no. Doesn't mean it won't happen, but, sorry, it is set aside for Neptune Suites. And, no, they can't use the Neptune Lounge, either.
  10. What island? The first volcano bike ride would probably be Haleakela on Maui. Famous down hill ride from the top. Or, if a serious rider, up from the bottom. Second might be Diamond Head on Oahu. Waikiki is the place to stay. Many hotel recommendations here. The bus ride to Pearl will cost you about $5pp, round trip.
  11. And this is because its a port visit, as opposed to a turnaround day?
  12. Layers. Its all about layers. Outer layer should be wind and waterproof. We were in Iceland in July 2022...strained to get to 60 (our one stop in Norway), more like mid 50s every day. 30s at night. Windy, and Iceland is known for rain.
  13. Pretty sure its the same for all levels of cabin on all HAL ships.
  14. Most transfer companies monitor their customer's flights. So, if you tell them you are coming in on Such and such airline on this date, flight XXX, they look it up, and monitor for the important info, like gates/terminals and arrival times.
  15. Aft cabins aren't bad. BUT...and its a very important and VERY frequently mentioned here key point (as @njhorseman already did), you need to be moving around the ship during your transit. Be on the bow (as best your ships allows) for a locking or two. Be on the Promenade deck (whatever your ship has) for a locking or two, where you can actually reach out and touch the side of the lock, because (usually) the ship fits so tightly in the lock. Sorry...I honestly don't get the thought that people have that you are going to be locked in your cabin for the 8-10 hours of a Canal transit. There is entirely too many things to see. Not sure why you would think a port side cabin is the better alternative.
  16. There are many threads here recommending transport, for example the large thread on the wonderful Rome in Limo. Its 75-90 minutes to the port, so it depends what time you can and would like to board.
  17. I don't see any issues. As there are multiple flights daily between Athens and Rome, that would be the least of my worries. There aren't many flights from Ohio to Rome, so an issue there could cause much upset and rebuilding of your itinerary. But you have extra days built in, so I think you are looking good.
  18. You can't tell how many are available because you can't see how many guarantee (GTY) bookings there are. You are only seeing unassigned. Literally there could be 21 GTY bookings out there, so all it takes is one more Neptune booking, and the Neptunes will be full. Upsells and upgrades vary every cruise, depending on what has been booked below that level.
  19. Singapore Airlines is known for not playing well with the rest of the Star Alliance.
  20. Discussed quite extensively on the West Coast Departures board. Many good threads there. It is very good.
  21. Stay in Rome. One of the greatest cities in the world...there is never too much time in Rome.
  22. SBC= Shipboard Credit. If you book directly with a cruise line, under certain rules, you may transfer your booking to a travel agent (TA).
  23. Welcome to Cruise Critic! Check over on the Princess board for their policies: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/119-princess-cruises/ The amount required depends on the length of the cruise. And it is per person, not per booking.
  24. Most of the time this is correct...but not exclusively.
  25. Not my experience...sailed 3 cruises last year...maxed out Mariner points on 2 of the 3, just missed on the third. We had HIA for all 3, including grats, but without shore excursions. 2 cruises we did zero excursions, so no spending there. No other way to explain how we got $300 in on board spending Mariner credits for about 28 total days.
