  1. At the end of February, I tested positive on the Emerald on a b2b Antigen test. Medical staff came to our cabin and conducted a PCR test to confirm the results. Both were positive and I was asymptomatic.
  2. Ken, when you have time, can you post a photo of the Ship's Officers (posted near the mid-ship elevators on deck 7)? Thank you!
  3. To be specific, the Maitre'd' is now called the Director of Restaurant Operations. The former Head Waiters are now called Restaurant Managers. Btw, the Asst Maitre'd is now the Lido Manager.
  4. Generoso did indeed retire. We are close friends and we communicate frequently. He does not follow Cruise Critic, but I'll pass on the nice comments.
  5. From May to August, 2023, the Emerald will be sailing out of Los Angeles. California Coastal, Mexico and Hawaii itineraries.
  6. Ours have been showing "pending" for a month.
  7. There has been lots of posts about these lights on many threads. Personally, we find them extremely annoying and disable them with black electrical tape.
  8. We are very similar. We follow the Roll Calls more to see what excursions folks are doing, but we do not participate in any of the organized activities or share any excursions.
  9. Thank you for posting! We have been eagerly awaiting these!
  10. Agree, our Med and TA Roll Calls for the Regal in Oct/Nov are extremely active.
  11. You should also check out the Roll Call for your cruise, which actually starts Sept 3rd. This will give you info on what passengers on your actual sailing are doing as far as excursions/transportation.
  12. You should also check out the Roll Call for your cruise, which actually starts Sept 3rd. This will give you info on what passengers on your actual sailing are doing as far as excursions/transportation.
  13. We will be closely following along. We board the Regal on October 26th, in Civitavecchia, for 37 days. Enjoy your trip!!!
  14. You may want to post your question on the CC Insurance Forum, below... https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/499-cruisetravel-insurance/
  15. A check of prices today on our booked cruises show that they have all gone up $100 to $200 pp. What a coincidence that the Princess sale starts on Thursday???
  16. That is a smart way to get seasoned cruisers to try them! I was told recently by someone in the cruise "biz" that MSC is planning on deploying ships to the West Coast in the near future.
  17. In the past, we have not found too many lower fares during their "sales" events. I think they use the word "sale" to indicate that the cruises are for sale! 😄😄😄
  18. Did not take any meds. We are vaccinated and boosted. We are getting our 2nd booster in a few weeks.
  19. I tested positive on February 27th, on a b2b cruise, was asymptomatic. Our next cruise sailed on April 3rd and my pre-cruise test was negative.
  20. I think that means you have to make a new booking? If the prices are indeed lower than what we currently have booked (6 cruises for us), then we'll cancel those bookings and rebook. The $1 deposits do not do anything for us, as we have purchased a number of FCD's.

  22. I'm glad we have that cruise checked off our list. We spent 4 days cruising in Antarctica, in January of 2011, aboard the Star Princess. That was a lifetime highlight! Going back to SA next March, Buenos Aires to LA, but no Antarctica.
