  1. No, it will show whatever Captain’s Club level she has presuming she has a Captain’s Club number.
  2. The all aboard time is normally 30 minutes before departure. Any excursion would need to return in time to meet that all aboard time. Exactly how much earlier than that will depend on the port, port security, etc.
  3. Yes. You can get any lower price up until final payment.
  4. In my opinion, no. Booking onboard just gets you some OBC and the deposit is less. If you see a price you like now, don’t wait.
  5. I don’t believe they are intentionally decreasing quality to stay in business but rather are intentionally cutting costs to stay in business and it is those cost cutting moves that decrease quality. Perhaps they don’t realize how much the cost cutting is effecting quality or maybe don’t care but “intentionally decreasing quality” I just don’t believe.
  6. Other than disembarkation, not that I’ve experienced. Only tender ports.
  7. They will try to reschedule you, that doesn’t mean they will succeed. As someone else mentioned, they are basically a travel agent, they are at the mercy of the airlines the same as if you booked your air through Expedia or similar site. You do not need travel insurance for Celebrity Air to reschedule you.
  8. I was on Solstice 3 weeks ago. I was able to use non refundable OBC to purchase slot vouchers. They had $50 and $100 vouchers. You didn’t have to spin at all, I could have put a voucher in a machine, cash out immediately and cash it in. Everything I did play earned casino points the same as had I put cash in the slot.
  9. Probably. They’ll be on your stateroom tv, the casino bar and probably on the big screen on the lawn.
  10. Yes, it will work but it will be slow. Photos may take a long time to load.
  11. Yeah but that was Aug 2021. Not nearly as many passengers were flying as there are now. Even with TSA pre check, there have been plenty of horror stories on long lines at security since the resurgence in travel.
  12. You may not be able to charge to your onboard account directly at a slot machine but you can transfer promotional credit at a machine. We were on Solstice 2 weeks ago and that’s how the casino gave every passenger $5 in free play one night. I’m sure the pre-bought slot play will be loaded to your Personal Banker account which you’ll then be able to transfer to a slot and that’s how they’ll ensure you play the entire $55.
  13. The ATT package only controls how much you pay for service. The actual service is provided by Celebrity, not ATT. Whether or not cellular service would be any better on Apex vs any other ship, I don’t know. You are better off getting the ship’s internet service and using WiFi calling. I’ve got ATT and iPhones, WiFi calling has always worked for me onboard.
  14. Don’t forget you can get that no charge at the Elite breakfast.
  15. That surprises me. What game? Not every Thursday game has been on Amazon. Week 1 was NBC, I believe. The Thanksgiving game won’t be on Amazon either. Thursday games are also shown in the local markets of the two teams playing, I think, so Royal could have picked that up somehow.
  16. I’m fairly sure no cruise ship does since Amazon has the exclusive. The only non streaming service I know of that carries TNF is Directv’s business package for sports bars. I doubt Celebrity or any cruise line would get that.
  17. Choice Air is the name Royal Caribbean uses. I don’t know if Celebrity ever called it that or not. It’s been Flights By Celebrity as far back as I remember but yes, it is the same service.
  18. Please don’t refer to any cruise ship as a boat, no matter how small you feel it is.
  19. Nice review. We are on that itinerary in two week, sure hope we don’t run into similar embarkation issues but there should only be two ships when we embark, so hopefully Solstice will be at berth 93.
  20. It was probably data usage. The ATT package provides very little data and once that is used up, the charge is $2 per mega byte which can add up very quickly.
  21. Not sure what “not applicable to Preview Captains Club status” means but I got Elite benefits on my very first Celebrity cruise. I was Elite with 0 points thanks to the status match.
  22. You cant use that on the ship, if that’s what you are asking but you don’t need it on the ship. It shouldn’t be confiscated but held and given back to you when you disembark. Unless you are traveling with something that only takes 110v, you probably don’t need that voltage converter. All of my electronic chargers take 220v and 110, when I travel all I need are plug adapters.
  23. They may be equivalent in size but a Celebrity Sky Suite gets full Retreat access. A Royal Junior Suite does not get any suite benefits, at least not on the ship’s I’ve been in a Junior Suite.
  24. Great information. We just booked a Mexican Riviera cruise on Soltice and were getting a lot of OBC, more than I think we can spend if not for the casino.
  25. Yes you can transfer your reservation to a travel agent. There is a form you fill out and submit.
