  1. We have found the cabanas on Rotterdam to be well worth the expense. Excellent service and a quiet retreat.we prefer a rear facing one.
  2. Bonfires are only allowed in Neptune Suites on Pinnacle class ships. Kindling is included in the Have It All package.😉
  3. It’s just my opinion and interpretation of fellow passenger and crew reactions, but we always step it up on dressy nights and have definitely noticed an appreciation from both groups.
  4. Our NS bath had the regular Elemis product plus bath salts/bubble bath. Also, cotton balls, Q-tips and make-up removal pads.
  5. The prices are the same for 2024 per our cabana booking.
  6. They do go to the gelato stand on the Lido deck. In fact one time we had stopped there and one of the Cabana stewards was there. He pointed us out to the man working the gelato counter and we were never charged for gelato again, no matter when we stopped by.
  7. Spa cabins do not include any spa services. They are just located nearer the spa.
  8. We like #12 on the Rotterdam. Aft view.
  9. The sparkling wine that HAL provides in the Neptune Suites can best be held onto for the clearing of clogged drains.
  10. Last cruise in November on the Rotterdam I brought 2 bottles of good champagne. Went to the secondary station and gave them name and cabin number. Signed the slip and was never billed the $40. Appears to be pretty hit or miss.
  11. Rotterdam Lido pool has both.
  12. Unfortunately. I gave up on massages while on HAL a several years ago. The “deep tissue” treatments are a joke. Massage me like I need it, not like I’m a frail 80 year old. MHO.
  13. You’ll need to provide your card each time. Sounds like a real pain to keep it in your phone case.
  14. Club Orange must be booked directly with HAL and is capacity controlled.it has been discussed at length here. Try a search.
  15. The sparking wine is made by Gallo I believe. What they used to have was mediocre at best…this is horrible. Never even opened ours. I brought a couple of bottles with us instead.
  16. Don’t worry. When you board go up to the Retreat when you can. The staff there will have your info and may well ask you service preferences. Enjoy.
  17. Our tags for a Neptune Suite were gold on last cruise and had “Priority “ on them.
  18. As mentioned by others…call Ships Services to book. Your cruise does not have to be paid for to book a cabana. You’ll need your booking number and you will be charged at the time of booking and will receive a confirmation email that includes the cabana number.
  19. Food poisoning? How much time did you spend in the infirmary? Was there any discussion of having you medically evacuated for treatment? Assuming you were given complete medical reports to give to your local physician. How many others were affected? I’m surprised it didn’t make the news.
  20. It’s the November 29 sailing…the day after Thanksgiving. Did that same timing last year and it was great. I think there were 3 kids onboard. Cabana was is $700 for the entire cruise. Up from $500 last year, but still worth it for the quiet and service.
  21. Booked the cabana today for our November cruise on the Rotterdam. Glad I took care of it as almost 50% of them are booked already. And yes, we did get our first choice.
