That sounds like what I do!  I do take prescription bottles in my carry on .  Unfortunately our HMO does 90 days, so the containers are large.

We belong to Kaiser and when it's time for a refill before a cruise I take my large containers to one of their clinic pharmacies (rather than the usual mail order) and ask for small containers. I explain why I'm asking for them and it hasn't been a problem.

OMG - it's not raining in Seattle!  (the one reason I don't live there anymore).  Ah, the Lido.  Loved the Lido on every HAL ship we've been on.

Oh how we'd all love some rain about now. Even my dandelions are brown! We had 5 minutes of a very light mist last week but haven't seen real rain for months!

DH and I are now seriously thinking of having A/C put in the house. Even though our hot weather doesn't last for weeks or months like other parts of the country, it's pretty miserable when it comes.

If your house already has duct work consider a heat pump. Works very well!

One thing I am sure of, I would advise you to test for covid before you ever leave Florida. I have read of several of your fellow Floridians testing positive before their cruises and they have been entirely without symptoms.

That sounds like a great idea.

  5. To end the day, we just had RAIN-we're directly across from SEA TAC airport. Huge drops came down for almost 5 minutes and now the thunder has started. A few more drops here and there with some darkish clouds hanging around. Fingers crossed they don't blow away. It's been 49 days without rain in the rainy Seattle area.

  6. How bizarre is it that most of the world has rain and sometimes too much rain, and here in the "rainy" Seattle area we haven't seen rain in over a month. Eastern Washington and eastern Oregon could do with a good dump of rain without any wind. Friend's daughter and family have evacuated twice from the Sisters, OR area but so far their house had escaped the fires-just some embers in the yard. Still very scary!  Stay safe everyone.

  7. I saw this on another site and kept it for info for our Nov. cruise. Hope it helps.

For those planning to cruise anytime soon out of a foreign port, I found this handy search engine that will show you the Covid vaccine requirements for entry into any country, including need for quarantine, documents required, etc. You can specify if you’re flying in direct or via connection, whether the connection is outbound or in, round-trip or one-way, whether fully vaccinated or not, planned dates of travel, etc.   Info you get back includes current and updated info on requirements and direct links to the source of the information, which is usually the host country.I hadn’t been able to get this from any airline (or at least didn’t know which ones had one available).
