On the Eurodam a couple of weeks ago it was 5:30 although it seemed like when we'd arrive at 5:30 there was a couple seated near us that had menus or sometimes even had their salad.
-
Just off the Eurodam and all soups in the MDR-except the French Onion-were served from pitchers.

I did mention the loud music to one of the white shirts working the Lido area. He told me that they have to consider all passengers' desires. I said with just 5 or 6 people outside for breakfast at 7 am most didn't want loud noise and without the crowd to absorb sound it was loud. There were a few times the volume was lowered but not most of the time.

Yes, both shuffle board games were available for use. Bottles of hand sanitizer were placed at each game.

@bennybearNot sure why we now have Black Friday sales in Canada...We laughed when we saw Black Friday ads in Barcelona a couple of weeks ago.
@Vict0riann-Trader Joe's has some wonderful frozen vegetable medleys, the BEST Triple Ginger Cookies and Cold Brew Latte frozen dessert bars-sort of like a coffee popsicle.

Don't get me wrong. I happen to love music. I do not like what should be background music assailing my brain everywhere I go. I've come close to walking out of grocery stores, leaving my cart in the middle of an aisle, just to try to escape the totally unnecessary music being blasted. Please, just stop.
I so agree. We got off the Eurodam on the 14th. I've mentioned before that our favorite place to eat breakfast and lunch is outside near the SeaView pool. I don't need loud music at 7 am. And I have walked out of stores before because of the music. Funny to watch the stunned look on a clerk's face when you tell them the music is too loud and you're leaving. Background music it's not!

We were on the Eurodam for the TA ending Nov. 14. A number of crew members were in quarantine on Deck 4 and the rest of the crew were having to cover for them. The 2nd Executive Chef was making omelets a couple of mornings and I've never seen so many white shirts with gold braid clear tables. So even with crew and passengers fully vaccinated the virus does spread. At one point the rumor was over 40 were unavailable for work.

We were on the Eurodam last week from Barcelona to FLL. The tests were done in one of the small meeting rooms on Deck 3. Long line but efficient process and didn't wait too long.

You all have hit one of my pet peeves. We love to eat breakfast out on the back deck near the SeaView pool. Why do we need loud music at 7 am? It certainly isn't background music. We just got off the Eurodam this past week and I spoke with one officer and was told they need to take everyone's wishes into consideration. I told him there were usually 3 or 4 people out there for early breakfast and most all were there to enjoy the scenery and peacefulness. The volume did go down for a couple of days.

I also add my thanks to Jacqui for all the postings. I was actually able to thank Rich in person on the Eurodam-seeing his photo from his Facebook entries allowed me to recognize him.

Finally getting caught up with the time changes after getting off the Eurodam Sunday. But then another 3 hour change when we head home from our son's house near Atlanta. Not looking forward to the wild PNW weather after a wonderful Atlantic crossing. Wearing masks became such a habit I'd forget to take it off when I got back to our cabin. Menus could use some help but still a great cruise. It was interesting that we didn't have to show our Covid test results going through Customs. I guess the ship wouldn't have let us off if we weren't negative. Stay well everyone.

On the Eurodam right now and masks are being worn everywhere except eating, etc. and near the pool. Wearing them has become so natural I sometimes forget to take mine off when I reach the cabin.

Do you actually get a live person when connected? A couple of different companies I've tried to contact with Chat end up having an automated response and I end up going in circles until I realize I'm not talking to a real person. Frustrating!

About 75 hours from now we'll be boarding our flight to Barcelona through London and then boarding the Eurodam on the 30th. Can't believe it's really happening! We flew into Adelaide once to board a Greyhound bus for an 11 hour trip to Coober Pedy to see the opal mines. Looking back it may have been a crazy thing to do.😊

@Seasick SailorI think we're twins-except I'm 5 years ahead of you. Tomorrow to celebrate I'm treating myself to an epidural injection for the disk that's causing pain in my leg 🙁. But we leave for Barcelona a week from today so I want to be ready for all those cruise activities. Packing is almost complete but the last minute reminder list is getting longer so hope there's room for everything.
Have a great week everyone.

I think I was able to reserve our day and time when I went to my booking page and then to dining. It showed that I had a Pinnacle dinner and a Canaletto dinner as comps.
-
@Vict0riannFingers crossed that you are able to extend to Ft. Lauderdale. It would be great to see you and Pat again! We leave for Barcelona 1 week from tomorrow-time to start packing.,

@BtimmerJust wanted to let you know Burien was beautiful today. The sun was out and the rain stayed away. Quick trip to Safeway before heading to the ferry dock.😊

@kazuYou neglected to include a photo of you lighting the torch for Patrick-a memorable moment 😊. Fantastic cruise in spite of the weather.
