Thank you for supplying information to those of us hoping to get to Spain.
I was wondering how everything is going in Spain and what the outlook on tourism is at the moment. We are scheduled to sail from Barcelona this coming November-after having to cancel the October 2020 cruise-and I'm thinking if the cruise doesn't happen but Spain is open to tourists, we may just travel anyway. We already have 5 days planned for Barcelona and now could add on a couple of other stops and hopefully a couple of days in Morocco. I keep dreaming and hoping..............! Stay well.

One other option would be to talk with your agent or directly with Princess to see if they would wait-list you for the accessible cabin. This far out there could easily be a cancellation or they may have another solution for the perfect cabin.

Did you look into visiting Lisbon and then sailing out of Barcelona?

I didn't know that! 😱 Shame that its not possible to ask them to 'hold' the second glass until the next evening!
How about a Tupperware cup with a tight-fitting lid? 😊

November, 2021 - a trans-Atlantic from Barcelona to FLL. The first thing I'll do when we get into our cabin is what I do every time - grab DH's hands, and jump around like a nut doing my happy dance while he makes sure I don't fall and kill myself. Then we'll head to the nearest bar to celebrate our good fortune.
Smooth Sailing! 🙂🙂🙂
See you at the sail-away get together at the aft bar!!

Interesting. I was told that was the reservation. I wondered how they were going to do so many of them on the 1st day.

If you sign into your onboard account and go to upcoming cruises, there is a tab for onboard services. Scroll to the bottom of that page and it will show what is included on your cruise. If you are receiving a comp. meal it will show the date which is usually on embarkation day. You should be able to change the reservation when you board-and do it as soon as possible after boarding.

We were also on the April, 2016 Westerdam cruise that missed Roratonga (was it really that long ago?) I was determined to get there and found a wonderful 12 night tour through that big box "C" store for a very reasonable price. It was an amazing trip.

I also received the notice from Princess concerning a May 15 sail date to Alaska. Because most of the costs had been paid with cancelled cruises we only owed a little over $200 so I paid it for the extra credit when the cruise is officially cancelled.

What a great idea Kevin. I need to remember to look for that card. Thanks!

When I'm feeling ambitious I will take a colored marker that matches what should be on my luggage tag and just color in a square area.

Something tells me that it is the "or better" part that will be assigned. There are only 4 or 6 BC cabins on the Volendam but it seems like a lot of people have been assigned to the BC cabins. Truly a waiting game. If we do get our actual assignments by Nov. 30 we should have plenty of time to trade for a cabin we want. (We had a BC cabin that we chose on the Rotterdam for this year but switched to the Zuiderdam when Rotterdam was cancelled and chose a Verandah, now we're back to the guar. BC-I think my head is spinning)

I have a Comcast.net address.

Yes, I have the same problem. I did check my profile and I am suppose to receive immediate notification on topics I'm following but I'm not. This started a couple of weeks ago. It was fine before that.

How did you find out about the new cabin assignment? And hopefully an actual cabin will be assigned soon or at least able to select the new cabin. Thanks.

Please add us to the 10-Nov-21 Volendam 15 day Spanish Farewell listing. Loren and I will be celebrating a 50th anniversary that should have taken place on this year's cruise.
Thanks! Susie

Many of us in the Pacific NW are having trouble with Fed Ex deliveries due to a lack of drivers. We get a message saying the package will be delivered because it has been loaded onto a truck. But there it sits-no driver-so the cycle repeats the next day. A bit frustrating............

The HAL website didn't show a discount for a Morocco tour but when the excursion desk was called, they were able to book the tour with the discounted price. Worth a phone call to see if what you want actually has the discount.

This is fun. Thanks for borrowing the idea and starting it here!

Several of the Hilton properties near the airport offer a Park and Fly option which can be convenient.

We had a flight booked directly with British Air using our Alaska miles. If we wanted to select our seats any earlier than 24 hours before the flight we had to pay. Don't think it matters if it's a codeshare.

I renewed our NEXUS cards just a few months ago and I don't remember having to do much of anything other than to review info and certify correctness.

We received the FCC nearly a month ago but no credit yet for paid excursions or EZAir flight.

We received a similar email today only it was an update on our future cruise. (We opted for FCC instead of a refund.) It said we would receive another email once the credit was available. But....we received the FCC nearly a month ago. ???

Any chance you could drop your luggage off at your hotel at the end of your 1st day in BA so you don't have to handle it the last morning?
