  1. The brunch is during the day and is a semi-buffet which includes bottomless mimosa / bubbly and a tour of the galley. Chef's Table is a nightly social affair with dishes from specialty restaurants paired with wine. I've done both and they would recommend them. There is also a lunch "A Taste of Royal" which is a mini version of Chef's Table at lunch time. All three experiences are worth it, IMO.
  2. Which is better? Harmony of The Seas "Love at Sea" vs Regal Princess "The Real Love Boat"?
  3. It's a really, really lame reality show. It's so bad I'd rather watch RCI's love and marriage show. If Princess thinks this is good publicity targeting the younger generation touting "love" on the high seas, they are high on something -- the average cruiser's age on Princess has to be around 85.
  4. Good point but doesn't work if your phone has no battery left or worse, if lost.
  5. Thanks for sharing. I'll be sailing Grandeur out of Miami in November and this is good to know.
  6. There are walking trails and the tram to get around the peninsula. Here's a map:
  7. That is probably an old menu from back when they had unlimited drinks in the Diamond Lounge from 5-8pm. You can still order those drinks for free (up to 4) using a voucher, anytime during the day. The old system was 3 vouchers plus unlimited happy hour drinks from the happy hour drink menu. The new system is 4 vouchers for Diamond, 5 for Diamond+ and 6 for Pinnacle to be used anytime during the day and no more unlimited HH drinks. As others have pointed out, if you don't use all of the vouchers, you lose them as they don't carry over to the following day. The vouchers are good for any drink up to $13 at any bar except the Bionic Bar on ships that have them.
  8. Yes, you can use your 4 vouchers daily for any drinks of $13 or less. No more happy hour free drinks in the DL.
  9. While the boarding pass / set sail pass is available on the phone app, having a printout backup copy is advisable in case there are some snafus with the phone.
  10. You'll save over $1000 for two for a 7 day cruise then. Enjoy your cruise! 🛳️
  11. You'd be surprised at the number of people that prefer spiked liquid meals over solid food, 🤣 hence the DBP. If you don't drink over six or 7 cocktails a day, you would do much better buying the refreshment package and paying for alcohol drinks separately.
  12. If you drink specialty coffees and bottled water along with a few drinks, consider getting the coffee card, the water package and a-la-carte cocktails. It could turn out to be less costly than getting a $92 per day per person drink package.
  13. IMHO, I think that by pricing the alcohol package through the roof, RCI is incentivizing people to over drink to get their money's worth. I know the cruise contract absolves RCI of any wrong doing, however, do they really want drunk passengers hurting themselves and / or others?
  14. I think it is wise to carry the card with passports as well as digital copies on phones until they announce "officially" that they are needed. Better to be on the safe side. Happy Cruising 🛳️
  15. Try Avis, Hertz and Budget -- they have shuttle service from PortMiami and I believe they are open on Sunday with limited hours.
  16. My thought process FWIW, is that during the good times, the CEO other other top executives were paid an INSANE amount of money. Fast forward to a pandemic and a catastrophe -- feeling that maybe they should be allocating just .0001% of the rewards and bonuses handed out to the privileged few in previous years to help mitigate the crisis (crises) they are facing today? Before anyone jumps all over me (**flame suit on**), I should mention I'm a shareholder, again, FWIW.
  17. The first cruise I took after the restart (when they were requiring masks in all indoor venues), they were very strict about both the vaccination card and the negative test, the subsequent cruises I still had to show them but they weren't as sticklers about them. Now I hear they don't even ask to see them anymore -- I'll see what happens on my upcoming November cruise.
  18. Since you are only allowed to bring them in your carryon, security does check sometimes. They let me bring a magnum once for a New Year's cruise but was told in no uncertain terms it wasn't allowed.
  19. I did this brunch before Covid and really enjoyed it. It was a combination buffet and served by the kitchen staff in the galley and then we brought our plates to the MDR to savor. Unlimited bubbly came with it and IIRC it was an all-you-can eat affair. The presentation was beautiful and the food very tasty!
  20. I was able to print my Set Sail Pass on my MacBook pro 44 days out however when I go on the App it says it is not available.
  21. I think this is an old outdated thread. At the beginning of the restart they did ban smoking in casinos on some ships, however all the cruises I have taken lately have allowed smoking in the casino. I'm all for the ban and would spend more time in the casino if it were smoke free.
  22. The Port of Charleston is closing tomorrow. Don't know about Baltimore. I think Enchantment is out at sea. Maybe they'll get an extra day or two like Mariner. I would welcome a few extra days but I'm aware this disrupts people's schedule for those that have to get back to work. Hopefully the storm will turn out to sea and not affect any more ports.
