  1. Seen on a recent voyage. In the early morning. By the lounge chairs. Books already placed.
  2. Thanks for doing this investigation into the dress code. My husband will be most happy that he doesn’t have to pack a jacket or tie. I am waiting for the “formal” announcement/directive from Silversea corporate. Hope it comes soon, as in before my next cruise.
  3. Happy Saturday from the peninsula where it is absolutely scorchingly TORRID. Intense heat. Hydrate everyone!
  4. Standards are crumbling. Time to binge watch the sopranos again.
  5. And is it ok for men to wear baseball caps inside the dining venues?
  6. I just keep hearing stayin alive…stayin alive….
  7. Dolcediva: We are having amazing storms…yesterday I think a tornado touched down. Once again we have an infinity pool/yard. Hope all ok by you

  14. Drron: Do you have a photo of the quirky elevator on the Explorer? I wish i had taken one. Thanks for your post and photos!
  15. Yes it was. They often do the TA and their behavior is exactly the same.
  16. I laud all ideas and hope management is watching. Otherwise it continues and like the dress code issue, it continues, as management watches chuckling. Those silly pax keep the dialogue going, immersive and entertaining everyone.
  17. Mysty A few Lodgers could defray world cruise costs... In coordination with the crossword eatery. A lot of moola
  18. TTS, you read my mind (ok no mind, just a few neurons firing)
  19. We have observed the chair issues and other similar issues on most of the Silversea cruises we have been on. We are well over 400 days now. On one cruise we brought some books aboard to donate to the library. Sure enough, the next morning those very books were placed strategically on some loungers. They were there every morning of the cruise before 9 am. On the same chairs. I am familiar with the couple who used the loungers, but I know there were some others involved who actually did the book placing. Money was exchanged. This is the same guy I saw vociferously demand to see the MD in LaT on day 1 of the cruise and then very obviously and openly greased the palm of the MD and demanded the same table every day for every meal. His wife came to LaT at lunch in curlers. I don't think its the new norm. There will always be those who feel entitled, to whom the rules do to apply. And of course, to the detriment of others. And those who will accept cash for goods/services.
  20. When our luggage lost the crew were busy finding us clothes to wear. It was an interesting assortment of sartorial splendor. I never considered wearing the bathrobe. I could have done a great toga with a bedsheet. Fortunately luggage was delivered just before departure and no one got to see my rendition of a toga draped on a much older but wiser, body.
  21. Ok visceral reaction to MAC&CHEESE. Is it too cheesy? Considering changing my screen name soonest.
