Stumbles I not be going this time. Wish it were so. Not sure what is causing the delays in the boarding. I do know that in the USA all pax must be cleared from the ship and US customs must clear for oncoming. At least the weather is fabulous today.

Watched her coming into Port E., early this morning. She is docked waiting for the new pax. Have a grand time all!

A small rant, a little off piste( or vice versa). On our last cruise aboard the Dawn we had the General and the dentist, both frequent speakers across many lines. We have heard them before, and the topics were the same if not similar. At dinner in La Terrazza one evening they sat near each other, and other pax, self proclaimed refugees from Crystal, bent their ears. They happily bent back, and loudly bemoaned the experiences on Silversea. I found it astounding that two hired speakers would bite the hand that fed them in such a loud and uncouth way.

Lots of great input and food for thought. Thanks to those who voiced their opinions!!! No mention of the return of Venchi chocolates….

I vote for an implantable chip, it can have all the info and just be scanned. Plus i can be tracked so my kids know where I am/are. I often do not.

The news sheet as we used to get it was always yesterday's news. However you may still request it be printed and placed outside your suite in the lucite holder. The old news may be requested in various languages. I also remember that you could request an entire newspaper be delivered daily. It was huge. Dr Spins loved it. A giant newspaper! Sometimes it's the little things. And I haven't seen the butler card either, it was something hand written. Ah Jolly. The before days.

But please bring back the Venchi chocolates.

Is it time to stop printing the Chronicles and rely on the screen in your suite? I noticed a pax commented on another venue that the Chronicles were not printed in other languages and the pax was most disappointed. Perhaps its time to stop polluting the world with more paper and ink, and energy and just use the tv screen in the suite. There could be options to translate it into whatever language one might want, satisfying the cultural and language connection. The silver box is gone, the leave at home papers for relatives are gone, the printed travelogue is gone, the printed tickets are gone, the prize points on paper are gone, the luggage tags are gone…maybe the Chronicles should go too???

I never said I liked Tang, but i do remember asking my mom to buy it. The astronauts drank it!!!

Don’t forget this other “orange” food! Well not really food, it was created by chemists. So more of an elixir, or chemistry experiment. Still around even today in a slightly different iteration.
