I have a pair of Keen sandals. I have worn them to work almost every day between spring and fall for 4 years. I have worn them all over on our cruise last winter. They still look good. They are very comfortable.

It will likely cost you the $20 for transportation to and from the ship
-
plan ahead! I create envelopes and put the cash in to cover each envelope (soda cards, excursions, tips...). once onboard I deposit all of that cash so its done. its so easy to manage this way. I always have an envelope for "emergency" and "other". these are kept in my safe until needed.
I also do envelopes. I am a big planner so I know which ports will cost me more or less and plan accordingly. I have an envelope for each day and at the end of the day any money left over goes into the next day's envelope.

So glad I am not alone. :D

Often as I cruise these forums I feel like DH and I are the only ones that are perfectly happy in a "cheap" cabin. Our first cruise was in an interior and the only reason I prefer an ocean view is the natural daylight to help wake up in the morning. We are only in our cabin to shower, change, sleep and ;)
Am I all alone? Sometimes reading these forums I feel like I am in steerage class on the Titanic. :o

We chose San Cristobal. The local guy we talked to said that El Morro is the most popular but San Cristobal is better. ;)

I've seen some passengers outright refuse, or take just a little, or there was one passenger who asked for "just a little" and then proceeded to "share with her husband" by dabbing her fingertips on his.
I'd have a lot more respect for the person who says, "I'm sorry, I'm allergic or have sensitive skin" to the person who makes up some other feeble excuse or refuses altogether.
We use their hand sanitizer and I always have by own little bottle at the table and we all sanitize again.
I remember my son at 2 on Carnival Dream. Bobbing from side to side, doing a little dance, and singing "hand ass-i-tiz-er". 5 years later, and we still call it that in our family. My DH will toss the bottle at the kids and tell them to "ass-i-tize".
well good for you.
I refuse it. I am not a germ-a-phobe. I am allergic to a lot of chemicals. I wash my hands with plain soap and water.

We had a taxi driver take us to the beach and went out on a boat for $20/person from Payne's beach. We were out on the water and with the turtles before the bigger groups showed up.

OK thanks... maybe I was mixing places up or combining things. How long or hard is the La Mina trail?
I have no personal experience but this web site is great for info

Thank you for the info and links... do you know where they talk about feeding the fish (tame trout I think) at? I think it is a bigger pool.
We went and swam with the fish and fed them but we had a guide and I have no clue where it was located. There was no waterfall there.

La Mina falls is the most popular:

There is also another, Juan Diego falls

We went to Stingray city in Antigua last year and it was the highlight of our cruise. They are not captive in any way. The snorkeling was really nice there. My husband doesn't swim and it was shallow enough he was able to enjoy it also.

The big question is what to do with those dogs that refuse to follow the dress code and hog the pool loungers?

Did you get back from the Mango Daiquiri tour? We have booked it for June. Just wondering if you enjoyed it or have any pictures! Thanks
We go in 2 weeks. I will be sure and give you a review

Awesome. Thanks for the info. I'm sure I'll have more questions later about the different tours he provides. :)
Look on Craigslist, he lists quite a few to give you an idea of what he can offer. He will also customize. I can't say enough good things about him. We are really looking forward to our tour in 2 weeks and have been communication through email about the details quite a bit.

Does this person have a website?
If you are referring to Ellis I don't think he has a website but he is on facebook (tours with Ellis: See the Real Puerto Rico) and he advertises on Craigslist. http://puertorico.en.craigslist.org/trv/4807495115.html is one of his ads.
We really liked him last November and have another tour booked for later this month. He is really easy to work with and will go out of his way to give you what you want in a tour. His email is fleisherellis@aol.com

We were on the Summit last November and I was really surprised that they closed the pool so early in the evening. Do they close the T-pool at the same time. I have to admit I never checked. An evening swim is something I enjoy.
What did you find to be unexpected?

You can not be referring to me as this is the first time I have even posted on the Celebrity board. But I am referring to you when I say you are rude!
I was the guilty one. I asked a question on here and then realized it might not get seen since I was hijacking someone else's thread and I started my own.

Having 3 children and 5 grandchildren as well as being around many pregnant friends and relatives I have to ask why in the world a person would need a special menu just because they are pregnant?

As I understand it, the reduced deposit takes the place of the normal deposit. So once you put down the reduced deposit amount, the next money due is the Final Payment.
You may receive a booking confirmation form with a different date -- some people have reported that they are seeing that full deposit is due earlier but that seems to be a relic of the form they use, not accurate information.
The same thing happens when you book on board at a reduced deposit rate. The booking confirmation form shows that a larger amount is due, but most of the on board agents remember to cross that off and it is to be ignored.
Thanks!!

If I book now and pay the reduced deposit, when is the full deposit due?

If I book with the reduced deposit when is the full deposit amount due?

I don't believe the hotels in San Juan offer airport shuttle. I am pretty sure you have to take a taxi anywhere you go. (or rent a car)

I have dogs, I love my dogs but they are dogs and they stay home where they belong. I do not have a problem with legitimate support dogs but the fakers are getting out of hand. This story was on Yahoo last month

What footwear do you wear to the beach?

I will also add that the Keens are even comfortable when they are wet. No rubbing and no blisters for me.
