  1. We have been Pinnacle (their highest level) for some time now on Royal Carib, and also sail in suites. But we have been getting more and more disappointed in the service and food lately on that line, plus our loyalty benefits are being eroded in the last few years. We have been very "loyal to Royal" for some years now...but no longer. So we are now looking forward to the Viking cruises we have booked, and hoping that will be a better fit for us. Sailing in suites on that line as well.
  2. I am the type that likes to hang all of my clothes up as soon as I get my luggage (which more times than other, I find down the hallway myself). And many times I don't see my cabin attendant until much later to be able to ask for more. The limited hangers they have in the closet is never enough for my B2B cruises. So I simply toss in a light pack of thin plastic hangers...works for me. 😉
  3. Bought on Amazon. You can even find them in Walmart (hardware dept). Yes, I bring a pack of cheap plastic hangers (there is never enough in the closet). Sometimes you get those hangers that are just points that fit into the closet rack, won't work to hang on hooks.
  4. Always comes in handy during hand wash laundry day. 😉
  5. Definitely not a big deal....but eeeeekkk!! Scary that people know me!! 😱
  6. I have never had a problem asking for a "two top" for meals in the MDR. I think it is still in our old profile. I will have to ask for breakfast or lunch,(open seating) but our assigned dinner table is always a two top without asking.
  7. Some of the newer ships have too much rough surface wallpaper on the walls. I have had a problem with those as well. The ceiling, however, is always a good bet. Try sliding your magnets around on the walls, sometimes some areas are more magnetic than others. The door is always another good choice.
  8. I keep a couple in my carry on, but the bulk goes into the checked bag (due to weight). Have been stopped only once, but not by TSA. It was the port security. A combo of two little hook magnets, and a couple of little gold bar magnets. 😉 They inspected them and let me carry on.
  9. Thanks....must have just happened...but I see the selection is really limited. I wanted the circumnavigation of Australia like I had before...not 3/4 night or 7/10 night. Ovation listed as TP but too late in the season. I have Viking booked 30 days circumnavigation and then a 15 night NZ cruise added on. I am happier with that. But indeed, thanks again. 🙂
  10. Wow...Australia now "TBD" after being pushed back to week of May 1st? Geezz...I have been hearing the same lip from Next Cruise for months now. At first it was supposed to be in November...then December...then January. Now...who knows. I got tired of waiting for the Aussie adventure to open, plus have already had two cancelled on us. One due to Covid, and then when that one was rescheduled...it was cancelled again... just on an RCI whim, (Radiance yanked out to NO). Viking...now has our business. RCI...you lose $$$.
  11. We used to love MTD. There was always a waiting list to be on it. That was when it was handled as it should be. Now...oh no...won't book it again unless they change it back. We do early, and love..love just being able to walk straight to our table when they open...no lines to wait in, same wait staff that knows how preferences. Those MTD long lines waiting to get in...not for me. Yes, it is early, but we simply get used to it. We no longer eat happy tisers in the lounges, which we don't use much now anyway, so we are not filled up on that before early dinner. And it does give us more time to do early shows. We adjusted...and for us...it worked out well.
  12. No one has mentioned the real reason that early dining is now so early. It is because of the new MTD set up. MTD used to have it's own deck and separate from traditional dining deck. Now....MTD is simply a fit in after first seating on the main dining deck. MTD pax are at the mercy of when those first dining pax are ready to leave their table before they can seated. The ships are getting major flack from MTD customers when the first dining pax linger over dessert/coffee/drinks/conversations ......then the MTD line at the door gets bigger (even if you have a reservation). Thus the ships are trying to get first seating traditional diners to come in earlier (hoping they will finish earlier) to get those MTD pax seated. IMHO...the new MTD program is a total fail.
  13. I am guessing RCI knows it can match up "Theme park of the seas" with the local mouse house here for combo family vacations.
  14. I know of one that is rather busy doing the whole world. 😉
  15. This older woman stands watching the goods go by with pricing (which I have caught their mistakes more times than you would think), and has CC in hand instantly ready to insert into the chip reader. Guess I don't fit into your mold. 😉
  16. On Serenade B2B just previous, and on Jewel...they had the set up in the VCL, since the ships exceeded their CL pinnie numbers. On the last leg of our B2B2B on Voyager they did the set up in the VCL as well since we were just over the numbers for the SL. Munchies were way down the end on the step down level, whereas the Serenade and Jewel set it up on the dance floor of the VCL with roped off sections.
  17. Exactly!! 😄 Or......Daddy frantically thumbing through his phone to find the info for his whole family. Me...I simply print out just the set sail pass, clip it to size, and hand over with my passport (and previously my Vax card). Easy peasy...done in 2 minutes. 😉
  18. I only used the lounge for coffee in the morning. All drinks are ushered in from another area. Just outside the lounge is a beautiful bar in the VCL. That is where we spent all of our time on our B2B2B last Feb. Once in a while we would pop in to get some cheese for happy and bring it back out....many in the VCL were doing that as well. The SL concierge would come out and walk around talking to pax in the VCL. The actual SL was usually quite empty in fact. Everyone seemed to prefer the VCL.
  19. I just hope I am not one of those pax in line behind him. 😉
  20. I hear ya. We have a local shuttle service we use to take us to MCO. She lives in our community and is very reliable. No way want to deal with parking there any longer, and have done the shuttle ride for years now. Parking at T#1, arriving very early to drop bags, park and walk over to Grills for those Bloody Marys...makes it worth the effort now. 😄 So, is it a done deal we are getting Utopia here at PC I assume?
