  1. Yup, no way I would consider a 3/4 night cruise. Geezz...even a one week is too short for us. I do have a one week Wonder coming up next spring...but that is just using up a freebie cruise. 😉
  2. Yup, but mostly parking at the terminal. 😮 They are already having problems even getting pax to be able to use the parking outside, let alone inside the garage. Even the "grass" parking is getting full. When we arrive for Wonder, the parking pax from Utopia will already be settled in.
  3. I would actually rather not have Utopia in PC. I would rather not have Utopia here in PC...you can have her if you would like. 😉
  4. Boarding time and check in time are two different things. You want to go online to pick a check in time, which is then your assigned time to check in at the terminal. Boarding begins when the ship has been cleared of previous passengers and the port agents have given the green flag to start the boarding process. Most likely boarding between 11 am and noon. Have been there when we actually boarded as early as 10:30, but usually around 11 am. Keep in mind there are times beyond control that can delay boarding. Medical emergencies, weather, maintenance, and things like Noro or Covid out break from previous pax.
  5. The Jewel, of which we have been on twice (both B2Bs) a few months ago, will sometimes be at T#5, and also T#6. One time we left out of T#6 and returned to T#5. They had us park at T#5 at that time, even though we were leaving out of T#6. Luckily they are right next door to each other, so it was easy to just walk our carry on bags over. So now you know. And absolutely no, not, ever would I consider Carnival. 😝 Go to a carnival...you find clowns there.
  6. We as well. The last few times we did the off site parking, dealing with the shuttles got to be just too much hassle. Easy peasy to just drop the luggage at terminal parking, then head up to park. At PC #1, one of our favorite things to do to is to score a decent inside parking spot early. After dropping luggage and parking, we leave the carry on bags in the vehicle and walk over to Grills for Bloody Mary cocktails. Nice way to start the adventure. 😉 Miss that at T#6.
  7. There are quite a few off site parking choices now. A really big one just north of the barge canal bridge on State road 3 is one of the newest.
  8. Mahalo! 😊 LOL...technically the 27th...but celebrating the 25th all over again! 😄 😍
  9. LOL...why not? 😄 Dave, I am waving hello to you from the other coast now. Arrived here in Maui last Sunday, a rescheduled 25th anniversary trip (making it a 27th anniversary now 😉 ). Covid shut down original plans. Will be here for six weeks...then Maine/Canada for the summer. Will be a long time before we cruise again...sigh...but always good to mix it up.
  10. And those machines fresh grind the beans for each individual cup. Best place for my morning Lattes. 😋
  11. LOL...don't get me wrong, I detest the scam of the extra day (see my post detailing it on this thread #22). When the Port Authority started charging that bogus extra day, I boycotted and started using the off site parking lots, though I had to deal with the shuttles. Then...later on even the off site parking started charging that extra day. So I am back to the port terminal again for the convenience. But it does not make me like what they are doing. Miami is of course more expensive in so many ways. Happy I only live 25 minutes from PC and don't have to pay for flight or hotel when I cruise out of there. 🙂
  12. Yes, I do smile and say hello to other pax....and any crew member I run across. 🙂 And gosh...don't need to say a thing about pesky types like me. We are just there. 😉
  13. Yes, indeed. Let's summarize. PC: 7 days, but charging 8 days at 18.19 a day = 145.52 Miami: 7 days "only" charging for 7 days....at 25.00 a day = 175.00. Oh yeah, I can really see the savings at Miami. 😄
  14. I don't get stopped by TSA, but have been checked at the port terminal security check in. They check them, and then let me keep them.
  15. LOL...except this Pesky Pinnie also sails in a suite...and then wears her pin in the SL just to annoy the "sweet" people. 😇
  16. OH no...tell me it ain't so!! 😲🤣
  17. I wish they would put a station in at Cocoa. Used to be one there..now it's a restaurant called "Ashleys".
  18. Yeah, that parking scam started over 10 years ago. And then the offsite parking lots started doing the same thing. So for example (if there were numbered spots).....parking spot #117 has a vehicle there in the morning waiting for pax to get off the ship that day. They have paid for parking for the whole day there, even if they leave at 8 am. Spot is now empty. Next pax pulls into #117 an hour later...pays for that whole day. Double bang for the buck (both in and out) for the parking lots sites.
  19. Diamond Lounge is literally for Diamonds (and up) in the Crown and Anchor program only. If you have earned Diamond status and above in that loyalty program...of course you are allowed in. If you have not joined that program...by all means sign up...costs nothing to do so. Enjoy your cruise. 🙂
  20. Needs to be booked on the first two days. They get really busy with pax towards the end of the cruise, so they offer this to thin out the customers, like C&A offers BOGO to specialty restaurants on first two days.
  21. I would suggest at least a hand printed note with your new cabin number on it to tag your suitcases. Does not have to be an official type tag as in boarding...but would help if needed.
  22. Too late for us. Gave up waiting and booked with Viking. 😉
  23. Thanks...just read a post of someone doing a live review of Quantum. They spent an overnight tendered off Lahaina last night. Sweet! 🙂 Bucky just came in to point out some whales just off shore. We also have a LOT of turtles swimming along the shoreline today. Fun to watch them from the balcony...errr...land based balcony this time that is. 😉
  24. Saw you all sitting just off shore Lahaina. We arrived yesterday for a "land lubber" six weeks in a condo in Maui at Kaanapali on the beach (north of black rock), Quantum indeed looked so pretty sitting there off shore. 🙂 We are seeing a LOT of turtles indeed from our balcony just off the beach all the time now. Pretty water and great view...happy you were able to experience it. 🙂
