So confusing. We booked a B2 on June 28th. Our TA was giving an extra 100 for a firecracker sale. This is our rate. Its a Mexican Riviera cruise in April 2024. 3199 per person 450 OBC plus 50 loyalty from TA Choice of 1 from O. 600 per cabin OBC, Bev package( we don't drink so would not take this), 3 excursions per person. She told me there is ANOTHER promotion instead of simply more. Its called Summer on Sale. the same B2 would be 2999 per person, includes House beverage package. 400 per person shore excursion credit, wifi and 325 OBC from TA. What would you do? House beverage is no value to us as we don't consume alcohol. I thought the only option is Simply More. Didn't know you can chose SUMMER ON SALE.

We were on this itinerary in Feb 2021. At the last minute, I decided to back out of our beach break/snorkel in Puerto Plata. I'm so glad I did. Our friends went on a very rocky 45 min open air bus ride to the beach. They said the transportation was horrific, the roads were horrible. The water was cloudy and rocky and they hated every second of it.

We always chose a snorkeling trip.

I looked at excursions for an upcoming cruise and I'mnot interested in any. I wanted snorkeling and there was nothing.

I actually requested a quote online. They called me back. Told me one B2 was available and it would be 5998 for 2 with no airfare. So, the new fare does seem less than what we paid.

Yeah, we don't drink any alcohol so this is very irritating.

Ok, so I found it and it shows available( b2), but then I get a message that all rooms are being booked. The initial quote is 8198 without going through the entire process. We're paying 6398 with the 600 OBC from O and 450 OBC from our TA. We don't drink alcohol so this simply more might not work for us on future bookings.

I booked a cruise ( April 20, 2024 Regatta LA to LA) on June 28th. I had the old pricing. I tried to see what the new pricing is ( B2 veranda)and I can't make a mock reservation WITHOUT chose airfare( we don't need it, we live near the port). Is there a way to find the price myself?

We just spent a week at that hotel this past april and went to the island three times. They do have a lot of lunch options.

We did the ABC cruise in September 2019. We loved Aruba a lot, so when we were looking for a place to go this past April, we chose Aruba and booked a weeks stay at the Renaissance because of the private island. We went there 4 times to enjoy the flamingos, etc. I found the food in the restaurant mediocre at best. The best thing was the grilled fish. Looking forward to your review. One of our best excursions on Celebrity was in Bonaire. Snorkeling. The operators were so passionate about Bonaire and they picked us up in their boat right at the port. It was so easy and a fun day.

I bake with American butter an I buy Kerry Gold to use on toast/potatoes, etc. I love butter and wanted to try some French Butter. I've purchased Plugra' if I'm baking sable'.

The ice cream on O is much better than celebrity. O carries Humphrey Slocomb ice cream.

We take a portable camping pail. They are super light and inexpensive on Temu or Amazon. We used one on our last cruise. We used the shower to fill it up and empty it.

There is NO way they use butter in the cookies.

My first gf's dad used to smear thick pats of butter on saltines. I remember thinking how stunned I was. He didn't have a long life.

We took our first O cruise in Feb 2021( only 338ppl on board). I thought the almond/choc. croissants were very good. I wonder if they've changed the product.

I haven't heard of this either. I am a "mystery shopper", evaluating business( restaurants, other service establishments) and then reporting back. There is a large mystery shopping company that has many, many high end restaurants and hotels. They also had "cruises". I haven't seen a cruise available to mystery shop since cruising restarted.

Also, they are farmed fish in Vietnam and China. We're going to be Elite soon and since we don't drink, we don't care about any free drinks. We always cruise with the All in package and just drink soda and virgin drinks. My issues are more about the decline in food quality, taking away albacore tuna at the buffet and replacing it with chunk light.
