Good cloudy afternoon. I’m waiting for the rain to start, it was sunny and hot earlier today. One of the fire companies in Lancaster county had a pulled pork drive up dinner today , so that’s dinner tonight. Also stopped at a farm market for some of their peaches. Yesterday we stopped at a different market to redeem a coupon for a free dozen ears of corn. We had been there in the spring and this was a comeback again reward. Corn is now cut off and in the freezer. @Crazy For Cats, I thought of you this morning when we passed Shady Maple on the way to the farm market. Hope you’re having a good time with the family visit. I have been to Grand Cayman several times, really enjoyed it there. @Crazy For Cats, safe travels, it’s supposed to be a nice weekend, hot and sunny with a chance of thunderstorms Saturday afternoon. Evening all, had some nasty storms come through around 6 pm. Lots of rain and wind with trees and wires down all over the place. Storm finally over. Cats were not happy with the thunder. Stay safe for those of you still waiting for the storm.

I have not heard anything further on Barb , so I guess no news is good news 🤞🙏 I was a bad pet parent last night, Tux accidentally spent the night locked in the vestibule. Brother heard him crying this morning and opened the door and he ran out. Blessings and prayers to all on our lists.

@JazzyV, I apparently was given the wrong day for Barb by the group leader. A later update from her husband this morning said he was able to see her and she is in a lot of pain and is in the ICU. Hopefully, she will be in a regular room soon. 🙏🤞

Just had an email from Barb’s husband, they must have moved up the surgery to yesterday. The surgery took 11 hours due to some inflammation. The surgeon believes he got it all. He hopes to get tp see her sometime today. Thank you Lord.🙏🙏🤞

Happy Birthday to the Coast Guard. They play such an important role in protecting our nation. The training center in Cape May NJ is such an important part of the local community The community hosts the recruits at the holiday time and when the budget shutdown occurred, they started a food bank to help the families survive.
