  1. Maybe, but I think you're cutting it too close.
  2. Take a taxi. It's convenient, quick and will likely cost about $20 with a tip.
  3. The train schedule and timing don't tell the full story. Typically, people want to visit the upper portion of Taormina not the train station, which is at the bottom of the hill. A taxi would be required back and forth from/to the train station to enjoy the sights and get back to Siracusa. Really, this is not a good candidate for a DIY excursion. Oh yes.... don't forget about travelling back and forth to the Siracusa rail station.
  4. Travel/medical insurance I always have. Our plan (through a federal government retirees program) is paid monthly and always in effect when we travel. Trips over 40 days out of country need supplemental insurance. I never pay extra (insurance) for refundable deposits. That's something I will risk as I already know the cost of that as opposed to not knowing what the cost of a travel/medical insurance claim may work out to and most cruise lines will provide a credit for the deposit to be used on a future cruise. I don't cruise on lines that require 'large' portions of the full cruise fare as a deposit but I do understand many people do and the insurance calculation for them is probably entirely different than mine.
  5. I'm pretty much of the same mind. Our travel/medical insurance is pretty good but, of course, they don't offer the service Medjet Assist does. We've decided not to purchase the package. For sure I can understand why others may - peace of mind and/or due to the amount of travel and locations.
  6. I can see how your count works. Any idea how @Haqdeluxe comes up with a Saturday morning discharge?
  7. Evidently, there is a time-saving service I wasn't aware of.... you can pay somebody to check your luggage on your behalf and head directly to security with a boarding pass in hand (hopefully with TSA Pre-Check)?
  8. What does this have to do with catching a 1000 flight out of Fort Lauderdale following a cruise?
  9. No, it is not an insurance company and is not selling an insurance product/policy. It is a membership program offering medical evacuation service(s).
  10. Medical insurance has many limitations when it comes to 'medical evacuation'. Although I am not a member of Medjet Assist (which is not an insurance policy), I do believe there is much more flexibilty on getting home if you need/want to. Here is the fist thing they say on their website: Hospital to Hospital Medical Transfer for member regardless of Medical Necessity, COVID-19 Info HERE
  11. Good Lord, look at the blades on that thing!
  12. Probably Millennium - Seward to Vancouver.
  13. Yes, that's (sort of) true. It provides daily per person prices for the basic and premium. I cannot find a multi-device package in Celebrity websit. Perhaps somebody currently on a ship can determine the availability and cost.
  14. Sort of like borrowing something without asking, not stealing.
  15. You may not encourage cheating but it looks like that's what you're doing. Correct me if I'm wrong but the package you bought, as an individual, is for you to have wifi and a soda package. Did it say anything about sub-dividing the use of the package? Of course, it's no big deal in the great scheme of things but I think it's important all of us at least acknowledge what we're doing.
  16. Maybe you should start here.... https://www.celebritycruises.com/ca/things-to-do-onboard/onboard-packages/internet-and-phone-packages
  17. I see it more as a mountain out of a mole hill.
  18. In addition to the 'Your in luck' error, I think there could be some grossly misleading information regarding the bonus savings you may enjoy!
  19. Yes. You do not need to purchase a wifi package (internet access) to do all of this. The Medallion app will connect to the ship's internal system (intranet) and you are good to go for no additional charge.
  20. I bet the bartender didn't use the exact phrase 'go elsewhere'. More likely something like 'sorry sir/madam, we don't serve bottled water here; I recommend you ask at the theatre or Cafe al Bacio'.
  21. Booking the Owner's Suite will take some of the sting out of having to visit all those unusual places.
  22. Seems to be a strange conclusion from your story. The best way to avoid viral infection is through good hygiene and the primary element of that is throughly washing your hands after handling/touching things. Of course, vaccinations too. Trip insurance doesn't appear to be an effective preventive measure against viral infection.
  23. This is excellent advice. If possible, you should let the Cruise Director know what you're planning to do so other passengers can be made aware of upcoming entertainment.
  24. Don't be ridiculous; the assertion was clearly made that affluence leads to good behaviour amongst children. The 'generally' is irrelevant and you're only using that modifier as a means of excusing the statement.
