  1. It was so much easier to simply hate Toronto; with GTA, way too many innocents get thrown in! Besides, for YYZ, blame Mississauga for that 'Crime Against Humane Air Travel'.
  2. Cabins located on lower decks, closer to amidships will experience 'less' motion than those elsewhere. For your situation, on a ship the size of Ovation of the Sea, a few decks anywhere on the ship are unlikely to be of any practical difference when it comes to movement and sea (motion) sickness. The weather would have to be particularly bad that there'd be much noticeable difference around the ship and, if that's the case, it's going to be way too late for those prone to motion sickness. Don't overthink this and enjoy the trip.
  3. C'mon now, let's be serious about this. The question was about robots, not regenerating cyborgs with political aspirations!
  4. Doesn't matter what I think you should leave; if you've decided that $5 is 'fair', then just go ahead and do it.
  5. I think it's too much but if you're comfortable giving a $5 tip for your drinks then go right ahead. No doubt the recipient appreciates it.
  6. I'm not an Aussie but I'm sure the board thread contributors won't mind me asking a question; earlier today I booked a B2B on Diamond Princess for late December, 2024 to early January, 2025 (14 day NZ and 10 day Tasmania). What might I expect on the Diamond as far as condition of ship, service, entertainment, etc... I know this can all change at the drop of a hat but there must be some opinions from recent experiences.
  7. I suppose he could be wondering about the cash flow from the employee to the family at home?
  8. I bet you're underestimating the value of some of those shirts... probably, there are a number of collecter/memorabilia items in there!
  9. If you plan on heading to the beach in March, bring your wet suit.
  10. You need to be connected to wifi to get iMessages from people not on the ship. Being tied up and alonside a cell tower doesn't count!!
  11. When I was in Fullerton, CA we used to go to Huntington Beach for the beach... it was great. I haven't been there in years but I expect it's still a good bet for being near the water and able to get in for a bit of body surfing. Suggest you check flights to SNA and/or LAX and orient yourself with a map. And yes, RCI uses Los Angeles cruise port in San Pedro... not Long Beach.
  12. By relatively short car ride to the port, do you mean that you plan on taking a taxi from wherever you choose to stay and the the cruise terminal. If you want some beach time, consider flying into SNA and staying in Huntington Beach.
  13. I fly through YYZ often, connecting to international flights. Personally, I think your connection times are OK. If I had to connect to the USA, then I'd be worried!
  14. Text (SMS) is in the 'call' category unless you mean iMessaging or Messenger (or e-mail).
  15. IDK whether you need data and voice or just data. Also, if you're planning on calling the UK from Alaska to chit-chat, you ought to reconsider that and you should also be aware that outside the cities/towns cellular coverage may be limited to non-existent. In any event, I suggest you explore gci.com which is the 'real' Alaska telecom provider and T-Moble esim which might fit the bill, you'll have to decide on that. Of course, while you're at sea, you ought not expect much service and you certainly won't get much on the run down to Vancouver. https://www.t-mobile.com/support/plans-features/t-mobile-esim-app
  16. You want to buy a phone too? Where are you going and for how long?
  17. You'll have to be making your way to Venice airport early enough to arrive there no later than 0930. It is unlikely that you will be spending much of the evening hours (ie after 1900) outside in Venice. For your schedule, I'd find a hotel close to Venice Mestre, check my luggage there and take a bus into Venice for the day. Take airport shuttle from Mestre in the morning (only 20 minutes and easy/simple to do).
  18. Air Canada ticket numbers begin with 014. Perhaps adding that to the 10 digit number you have will provide additional information.
  19. Me too and I don't even know whether the earlier stuff in your post is true.
  20. You need to include some reference to Free Surface Effect and the stability of the business.
