Going from Europe to BA? Take the port side to maximize sun; starboard if you prefer shade; don't worry about views of the coast line as there won't be many of those available.
I've already used some at home first, so I'm not bringing the entire roll. I know that isn't really what younwere asking.... I just don't see the problem in taking a roll in my luggage rather than rolling a short length around a pencil.
As you noted in post #2, there is a restriction on how far in advance of the flight Air Canada will accept checked luggage (four hours). I'd suggest that this doesn't provide enough time to check the luggage and visit downtown San Francisco and return in time to go through security for the flight.
And I expect that's USD 110. Your car rental, park admission, gas, lunch, etc... will all be in CAD... a pretty attractive exchange rate for you and lots of flexibility.
Oodles of time. It's about an hour's drive from Enterprise Car Rental to Highland Village. If you arrive at Highland Village at 1000 (opening time) and spend two or three hours there or in the area you have plenty of time to get the car back and make your way to the ship.
Yes, yes, yes. It appears as though Sandra engages in some very questionable practices. If you ended up making an insurance claim then your insurer would get involved to determine whether your claim is admissible and how they would address the vendor's activity (ies).
Sorry, still don't see it (especially if she has a no-refund policy up front... and there are certainly some questions surrounding that). What about pre-paid hotel reservations or no-show reservations where $$ are either not refunded or a charge for one night is made against the credit card? Is that too, an insurance fraud on the part of the hotel which is not making a claim on the insurerer.
Insurance fraud, how so? I don't much care for Sandra's practices but it looks more like a non-refundable reservation (like a hotel) than fraud. belkin simply wasted her/his time trying to find replacements under an understandable (but mistaken) notion that a refund from Sandra's would follow.
For sure you have lots of time to get to the Highland Village...

You'll need to rent a car; better get started on that soon. I suggest you look at Enterprise as it is closest to cruise terminal. Others are at the airport.
We did a TA earlier this year and went to Madrid for a few days (with a day trip to Toledo). An excellent choice and a location you'll not see on any cruise itinerary. We stayed at Room Mate Alba; great location and close to trains, local transport, sites and easy access to MAD.

Likely as true as the Tripadvisor reviews and ratings. Since the poster came to Cruise Critic looking for advice, he/she ought to have full faith in the CC Editor review(s).
Oh.... 5/5 doesn't necessarily mean 'the best'; after all, the CC Editor review wasn't a comparison between ships.
Eastern entrance to Prinz Christian Sund is at approx 60N 43W. Plenty of ice in Cape Farewell area and it's being blown offshore of SE Greenland at the moment. Doubt if there is much shipping in the area without ice strengthened hull.
