  1. I thought your original 'point' was that you had to upgrade your internet package to be able to send some photos and having to pay extra.
  2. Current cost is $24.99 per day. Elite get 50% off so, let's call it $12.50 per day.
  3. Isn't it great to parse comments then take them entirely out of context?
  4. Seems pretty fair. Think of all the 'soccer moms' out there driving budding Ronaldos around with little hope of future compensation.
  5. Sure. But if two people want to be able to access internet at the same time, that's not an option. Why not simply suggest taking an internet break for a week or two and eliminate the access issue entirely? While I think about it.... here are possible solutions to the solo passenger problem; get somebody else to go with you and have them pay half. Or.... stay at home. Don't you find that many of the 'solutions' to problems/issues offered on these threads often ignore or dismiss what the person actually wants to do?
  6. I ain't gots any... you'se the one what brung this up.
  7. So, the onboard CBP procedure is not necessarily what I may encounter?
  8. Your garrulous communication style and propensity towards hyperbole and obfuscation renders it difficult to fully appreciate your thesis on tour operator' s (cruise lines') potential adverse impact on a customer's wholeness due to their actions or negligence. Can you provide a couple of real world examples that may support your ideas?
  9. @canadianbear, thank you for all the informative posts you made over the course of your cruise. You too @BermudaBound2014; looking forward to meeting you next February. Just to be clear on the self-assist disembarkation with HAL in San Diego: 1. about five days prior to disembarkation I will need to get a colour-coded tag for early self-assist disembarkation; 2. on disembarkation day, and paying attention to my colour-coded tag, leave all luggage in room and head to wherever CBP sets up shop; 3. clear CBP (probably a separate line for non-US citizens... CBP inspection sticker in hand; 4. return to room and pick up luggage; 5. make way to gangway, scan out and show CBP sticker, and off we go.
  10. Yes, there you go. It's kind of like some grand conspiracy on the part of the cruise lines to void insurance policies. Too much imagination in some of the posts.
  11. I believe the operative word is complicit. There would have to be some action on the part of the company that would negate typical insurance coverage.
  12. Yes, I understood that's what you originally had in mind.
  13. Well, OK. This sort of addresses the unfortunate fact that some people just steal stuff. I believe the original objection was more related to the implied inclusion of a small door magnet in the class of 'but others also look at it as an unsightly blight, low-class, tacky, and an all-together visual irritant that needs to disappear.' Although, to be fair, others (not you) may very well consider a small door magnet as being that way.
  14. Holiday? I guess you meant weekend?
  15. Yes, and the 18 or 20% gratuity on top of that. So, $5 x 1.18 = $5.90
  16. Spanish guitars.... Flamenco!!
  17. I'm certainly no expert on the issuance of US passports but the State Department (on their website) would call this a Life-or-Death Emergency timeline and cruises don't seem to fit into the criteria for consideration.
  18. You're in need for some clarification from Princess. Colombia requires a valid passport during your stay. Panama requires a valid passport with at least three months remaining. You may be OK but officialdom (boarding agents) may not see it all that way if there has been instruction given to screen for six months.
  19. An eclectic mix and not really disco ready.
  20. Oh.... depending on the day/time you plan on making your way from Lambeth North to Greenwich, I suggest you consider taking the Waterloo and City Line from Waterloo Station to Bank Station then transfer to Docklands Rail (DLR) from Bank Station to Greenwich (Cutty Sark Station).
  21. With a nod to @Mrs Miggins There is no actual Cruise Ship Terminal at Greenwich. On Google Maps enter Greenwich Pier which is where the both tourist boats and the splendid Thames Clipper service dock. There will be a large tent just outside the Discover Greenwich Visitor Centre on the grass area where you will check in. You will be just next to the Cutty Sark and actually inside the gates of The Old Royal Naval College. The ship will be moored on the river just opposite a pub called The Sail Loft also shown on Google Maps. You will tender but it is a very short distance.
  22. Maybe; OP didn't mention anything about location other than his/her generic Celebrity wifi problem. In fact, OP didn't even mention having been on a cruise.
  23. Sure... probably not the best location(s) to organize the air and/or maritime invasions though.
  24. I think you're exaggerating the problem. I have been on Celebrity with basic wifi and had no problem sending a few photos.
