Celebration! / Live! / Solo? Jan-14-21-2024 The Tribe Cruise!
Riles34 replied to sid_9169's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
On the Venezia Solo I did my guy was begging to come in. On the second day I gave him $40 and told him I was all good. Going solo is a way different cruise. I made my own bed, hung my towels and kept it simple. He never bothered me again. -

No its a perfect location for it to keep crowd control. And trust me, you will see 30-50 deep. People are just trying to check off other places, Sid is just doing it at the end where others do it right away! -

Hey, nothing wrong with doing your own thing on a "Tribe cruise". Hell, I go with family, about 15 of us, and I really just see them at dinner. Last cruise I never saw my sister and her husband the entire cruise! Thats what is awesome about cruising, do your own thing and meet up here and there for a convo. I am major jealous right now as it is 6 degrees and I have been working since 6am! Wanna trade?! -

Sid, the reason you have hundreds of people following your lives ever time, is because you are just sharing your adventure. We all live through your post wishing we were there. It’s like reading a book and anticipating the next move. None of us come here to learn tips and tricks from your reviews, if we wanted that we would go to google and YouTube. There is a stink donkey mole in here that needs to go. -

Carnival Celebration Cabin 10474....Did I get lucky?!
Riles34 replied to missholly24's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
Yes you have a large balcony, enough space for a lounger. And the ability to look directly into your neighbors room and balcony. Watch the youtube video of the room on the other side, 10475. i like the midship bump out rooms port side so you are not looking down on deck 8 but instead the ocean. Enjoy! -

Yes it is $20. That is the nice thing about Cheers! You get top shelf booze compared to the middle of the road. I had a couple $19 shots of tequila to cap out the 15 drinks a couple nights. Rookie mistake!! Lol I bet B was the one that remembered?! Glad you got to them. -
I have never had an issue sending iMessages on any Carnival Cruise. Of course when the wifi cuts out or not working then you can't obviously. No pictures or Facetime, just good ol iMessage.

My PVP told me that casino rate rooms are grouped together. Let's say someone booked a casino rate balcony (big spender to get the free balcony) and they cancel a week out, that room could possibly be booked by the next casino rate passenger and get that balcony. If a person cancels a non casino rate room, it does not open up for the free casino rate room. They can create a queue or waitlist which is what I did last time. Called my PVP about a sailing to be put on the last minute deal and they called me at 11pm that night saying a room became available. This is why a lot of the times when you go to book the *Free* cruise it then says no rooms available since the PVPs are grabbing the rooms behind the scenes.

I had a deluxe ocean view on the Venezia for $50 and got to processing my payment (which went through), but this was at the exact time when Carnival had their 8-10 hour issue with their website back in August. I didn't get the confirmation due to the site issues and when I spoke to my PVP he said all bookings were not saved or people who saved rooms waiting for payment. I was bummed but ended up with a a full interior. It can happen but seems to be a very small chance. More likely than steering the ship lol.
-
How much? And it really depends on if you want some light in the room or not. I was on Deck 1 interior and the elevators are great on the ship with minimal wait times, so keep that in mind. You choose the floor you want to go to from the outside and then it tells you what elevator to get on.

What is next Carnival ship you want to book for cruise?
Riles34 replied to havanadaydreaming's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
The Heroes bar is right next to the entrance of the Casino, pretty sweet spot! Also, there are a handful of the older slots in there. The Venezia is a perfect ship to go out of NYC. -

Cruise Cash VS Pay As You Go?
Riles34 replied to CarnivalCruiser875's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
I would only buy cruise bar cash in small amounts ($100-$200) as it is only for drinks whereas cruise cash can be used for anything. I buy Cruise Cash (max allowed $500) every time but months on out as I am just pre paying for onboard credit. Easy to put $100 on the CC and pay it off each month leading up to the cruise instead of having a hefty onboard bill. And the way around the "use or lose" issue with Cruise Cash, you go to a slot machine and put whatever you have left in the machine and then cash out. You get your leftover money in cash! For your upcoming cruise, it doesn't make much sense to buy the cruise cash or bar since it is in a few weeks. As Shof stated, its just OBC. Maybe use it in the future like I do.
