  1. Not buying this. Why would they devise a dining strategy that penalizes those with set dining?
  2. Patti and I have just about always gotten a cabana when going to HMC, but no way with these price points. The line has been drawn and we're not crossing it. On the few occasions that we couldn't get a cabana we made do just fine. Same thing for Mahogany Bay. Haven't seen if they have raised Grand Turk yet, but I'm sure it's coming. 😎
  3. With YTD being the most popular dining choice, the MDR's on the Mardi Gras and Celebration can't accommodate the numbers, so they offer Chibang and Cucina to those that have YTD until 7:30. Apparently someone didn't think this through when designing the MDR's capacity wise. 😎
  4. It's been like this since the Mardi Gras started sailing. You also can't book Cucina until late if you have set dining. Same thing on the Celebration. 😎
  5. Patti and I don't hang out by the pools and hot tubs so not being on the open decks for the first and last day or two doesn't bother us at all. We won't do a Bermuda cruise April, May, or October for the very reasons Kathy pointed out, but we're in for a longer Caribbean cruise in the winter. 😎
  6. Excellent review and pictures Kathy! Thanks for sharing! 😎
  7. We did a helmet dive from there. Do they still offer that? 😎
  8. I can't wait to meet mr. Megan in January. I can see us spending some quality time in Husband Daycare together. 😁
  9. Having sailed on the Pride quite a few times, and another booked next year to Greenland, I still have some questions. Will the Heroes Tribute Bar be a rebranding of the Skybox Sports Bar or replacing Raphael's? On the upgrading to a Cloud Nine Spa, which it wasn't before, does that mean they're adding a Thermal Suite and maybe a T-pool? That would be great. As for the Steakhouse, all they had to do was get rid of David and slap up a Fahrenheit 555 sign. No big deal. Hope they don't eliminate the Casino Bar as they did on the Miracle. That was a mistake IMHO. 😎
  10. But you'll have a lot of fun getting there! 😁
  11. Great start Dave! Loving your Luminosa pictures. Having sailed on Spirit Class ships 16 times, I am noticing quite a few differences. Very interesting. Hope we get to sail on her one day. The funnel reminds me of Ol' Stubby, the Freedom! 😀
  12. Congrats! Next stop, Diamond. 😀
  13. You can't drink all day unless you start in the morning! 😁
  14. Bon voyage Megan! We'll be following along. We haven't cruised on Celebrity in over twenty years, the Zenith to Bermuda. All I remember is great food and a dead ship after 10PM. 😀
  15. Boarding usually begins around noon. Cabins open to all at 2:30. 😎
  16. Thanks for reading and for your kind words. Patti and I will begin our next journey on Thursday as we head to Miami to board the Celebration on Sunday.😎
