  1. Day # 10 - Portland, Maine - (7 am – 5 pm). We were up at 6:30 am, just as the Carnival Legend was docking in Portland, Maine. It is a miserable day. The rain is pouring down, and it is 59 degrees outside. Here are our first views of a very wet Portland, from our balcony….. I went down to the Legend’s Café and picked up a coffee and today’s “Fun Times”….. The word is that the rain is supposed to let up around 11 am. We don’t have an excursion booked for today. The plan for today was to walk the waterfront area for a while, before Patti put me in Husband Daycare at $3 Dewey’s. She would then continue with her walking picture tour. Afterwards, we would have a late lunch at Boone’s before heading back to the ship. But after walking all afternoon in the rain in Boston, if it continues to rain, we will not be leaving the ship! Here are some more views of a soggy Portland from our balcony….. To be continued……
  2. Yea, we were aware that there were cases. That's why we were so nervous about being tested on the Legend for the second leg of our B2B. Happily, all the B2Ber's tested negative. 😎
  3. Afterwards, we head down to the Lobby Bar for a drink. Along the way we pass the Alchemy Bar, where the Amber String Trio is playing….. We have a drink with Ramil at the Lobby Bar. The Rhythms of Paradise Duo are performing the Caribbean hits….. Patti leaves to check out the shops, and then heads back to the cabin. I make my way to Punchliner’s for Mike Delamont’s “R” rated show…… I have my usual great seat at the bar. Comedy Club host CJ gets the show started….. Mike Delamont on stage. He’s a big guy!….. What a great show. I gave him a 9.5 out of 10! Afterwards, I stopped at the Casino Bar for a couple of drinks with Angela, and then back to the cabin. Here is tonight’s towel animal….. Coming up next: Will Portland be a washout?
  4. We are leaving a soggy Boston behind…… We decide to have dinner on the Lido….. To be continued…..
  5. Once clear of the pier, the Carnival Legend spins around and points her bow out to sea….. Heading out, we get a good look at Logan International Airport….. We now have a Coast Guard escort….. To be continued……
  6. We were back on the ship around 3 pm. We briefly went up on deck, but the rain continued to pour down…… We went to our cabin and hung out until sail away. We decided to just watch our sail away from Boston from our balcony. The Carnival Legend backs out of her berth at the Black Falcon Cruise Terminal, under the watchful eye of the Boston Police….. To be continued…..
  7. You can only be called old school if you remember the "Doc Dance"! 😁
  8. As soon as we got to Quincy Market it started to rain and never let up. Patti took her pictures while wearing a raincoat and holding an umbrella. It was nice and dry in Husband Daycare!
  9. The food was pretty good. We would go back. We were bummed about Cheers though. 😥
  10. Patti is bummed that the turkey wrap is gone, but thinks she could live with the turkey and swiss on a pretzel bun. 😯
  11. Patti is back at the Quincy Market….. Here are some random shots as Patti completed her walking tour….. Patti made her way back to the Mija Cantina & Tequila Bar, where we had one more drink. We then made our way back to the trolley stop to catch a trolley back to the ship….. To be continued…..

  13. Patti is going to head over to Faneuil Hall, and on the way she passes by the Mija Cantina & Tequila Bar, so she checks how I am doing in Husband Day Care…. Patti has made it to Faneuil Hall….. To be continued…..

  15. Here are some views inside the Mija Cantina & Tequila Bar…. They served unlimited chips and salsa…… Patti had the chicken quesadillas….. I had the Mija Burger….. To be continued……
  16. Here’s the last few shots before out trolley tour ended….. We were dropped off a few blocks from Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market. As soon as we made the walk over there it began to rain, and it would rain for the rest of our time in Boston. We were thirsty, hungry, and in the need of a bathroom, so our first order of business would be to head over to Cheers. We had enjoyed our visit there the last time we were here, and even shared a few beers with Doug Parker of Cruise Radio. But alas, we were in for a major disappointment. It seems that Cheers, and also Dick’s Last Resort, were victims of Covid, and had closed. This is where Cheers used to be….. We were in need of a new spot. We spotted Mija Cantina & Tequila Bar, so we decided to give them a try….. Here are the menus….. Our first drinks of the day….. To be continued…..
  17. We are passing the Boston Park Plaza….. Here are a few more random shots as our trolley tour begins to wind down….. We are now passing Boston Common….. To be continued……
  18. Here is one of Boston’s Duck Boats…. Here are a few random shots….. This is the Fairmont Copley Plaza….. Here are some shots of Trinity Church and Copley Square…. To be continued……
  19. The trolley continues down Beacon Street….. We are passing Symphony Hall….. This must be a popular place to eat….. To be continued…..
  20. We are now traveling through Beacon Hill. The street lamps are gas, and businesses can’t use any lights in their signage….. Passing the place where everybody knows your name…… We are now passing the Public Garden….. To be continued…….
  21. We cross back over the Charlestown Bridge and stop at the TD Garden….. This is the Leonard P. Zakim Bunker Hill Memorial Bridge. Most just refer to it as the Bunker Hill Bridge….. Our driver explaining some things about our tour….. We are now heading to the West End….. This is the Old West Church. It is said that JFK voted for himself for President here….. This is the Liberty Hotel…… To be continued……
