  1. DH is wonderful about the laundry - it goes in on his way to the fitness center - into the dryer on the way back, and out after his shower and backin the room for me to fold. Easy schmeazy.
  2. Every 10 days means I would have to pack way more than I want to. I think I would rather pack light and do a couple of trips to the laundry room or actually pay to send things out.
  3. For us, having sailed Crystal since 1995, the ship is our destination. We really don't care what the itinerary is.😎
  4. Great news, maybe we'll see some real photos soon!
  5. It would be nice to see this but for the FB requirement. I don't do FB, any other link for us peons?
  6. How weird! I'll bet they only counted the few tables right in the actual grill area on Symphony.
  7. I hear you but the ships' queens are wider (maybe not longer) than land based queens. We didn't bump bums so to speak.
  8. So what's the deal with the spelling of Aurōra? Why the "long o" ? Sounds weird to me! Why not just Aurora? Too normal?
  9. Whatever the queen size is, it feels almost as wide as our king at home......
  10. ShangriLa is up the hill, has to be Four Seasons, closest to Circular Quay.
  11. Some people never will. 🙄
  12. Whoops, I didn’t think of that 🫣
  13. Keith, any chance you will post a link to the webinar?

    Back2Back

And if it is a port where they require a "0" count, you are at the mercy of the guest who thinks the rules don't apply to them! We were in a zero count port in US and waited for hours for security to locate the one holdout who just didn't want to get off the ship. Did not make any new friends that day!
  15. Me too!!!! DH likes mayo. And no ketchup for my fries either.🙄
  16. This seems to be the mentality of many "ports" these days. Residents claim the town gets too crowded, that passengers don't spend money (in the right places?) etc, etc. Some of these towns are reacting to more ships but even then, it is a short season. Once we heard a guest railing on about Skagway and how crowded and it was and wasn't it awful, but to talk to the local shop owners, they were happy as their season is so very short - make hay while the sun shines attitude. We enjoyed Stavanger when we visited and it's too bad to be docked so far away as it is indeed a very walkable town.
  17. 1995! Acapulco to San Juan and we were hooked!
  18. Once, we stayed on 7 on Serenity. I am not an early morning person and I was disturbed by conversations on the promenade. Also we found it dark as there was the overhang plus we had to keep the curtains closed so people couldn't see in if there was a light on in the room.
  19. Funny the use of the term "cabin" by so many. "Cabin" makes me think of submarine or battleship Navy quarters. Showing my age, I guess. On cruise ships, most lines call them "Staterooms", a more appropriate term IMHO. 😉
  20. Well that's not so bad. It was a $250 minimum when we hosted a few years ago and given the state of inflation and new owners, I am pleased it isn't more! We usually do one each cruise.
