  1. We used Moti Bar Tuv at Travel Israel. He was great at communicating & sorted out an itinerary that we wanted. Just for myself & husband. He couldn’t do the tours himself so delegated to Eli who was amazing. I’d maybe see if he could do something for you also. Edit: Also interview was in terminal building. Very straightforward. Eli was waiting for us as we exited with the rest of the private guides.
  2. We were in PS on Connie. Omg those aft views are sensational. Enjoy.
  3. Thank you for the comprehensive answers. We love Celebrity but possibly going to be cruising with our dcs in their 20’s & think they will prefer MSC.
  4. Hi can I ask how they compare please? Have always done suites on celebrity & Disney but looking at YC for our next cruise. Thank you.
  5. The butler kept our CS fridge stocked with beer (& gf beer) & soft drinks. We didn’t ask, it was offered.
  6. Thank you. Sil loves Disney & the dedicated concierge areas & for her no other cruise line comes close. However she accepts that the rest of us have been & done Disney. I also don’t think she liked NCL as a whole but can’t remember which ship they were on. Lots of things to think about & as dh & I will have the yacht club to go back to that will have to do. Thank you both again.
  7. Thank you They have sailed Celebrity with us twice before & were quite bored on the Connie but found Equinox ok. Luckily for them we were in the PS both times so had the jacuzzi & great service. They loved Disney but they were much younger & not suiting us now. If we go again with them we will probably have a sky suite each so we can eat together. Can no longer justify the upper suite fares on E class. We’ve also been to the European ports so the ship (shows, bars etc) for them is more important. We are also possibly looking at MSC yacht club but not sailed with them before. Sil didn’t like NCL Haven (they may be joining us) & preferred RCL in a suite but we haven’t been with them. TIA
  8. We usually sail Celebrity but are looking to cruise with our now older dcs. They Will be celebrating 21st & 25th birthdays. A cruise has been suggested as one of the family celebration options. We like to sail in suites & they need their space & we want a line that will be fun for them & work for us:)) I’m looking at Celebrity Edge ships as I think that may suit them, but when on Apex in October I didn’t really see people their age. We will be sailing in September & in Europe. So asking the good people of CC for any advice they can give as to a line or ship that will work. TIA
  9. We were in a CS in October. We were treated very well. We’ve been in PS twice before. We were treated exceptionally well :)) SS first cruise was great also. Id not pay for PS again. In Aqua next time. Will no doubt experience the difference but we are paying less so expect it.
  10. I read the thread. The comment about cheap seats was uncalled for. Especially as the poster the comments were aimed at says he tips regularly so no need for the barbed comment. Unless I’ve misunderstood.
  11. That’s not pleasant. It’s not customary in every country to tip. In the U.K. we have a living wage & workers are paid at least that. Therefore it’s not a requirement to always tip. We do, as it doesn’t make a real difference to us but to others it does add to the cost of the meal or haircut etc. If the provider is already earning the living wage then the requirement to tip shouldn’t really be there. People on here are trying to learn to do what is appropriate on an American cruise line so we don’t make mistakes. It’s nothing to do with being cheap. I could equally call you a show off for splashing your cash but wouldn’t dream of being so rude.
  12. On our Apex cruise in October our CS hadn’t been prepared adequately- a bag from previous occupants was found by me in bathroom. Lots of apologies from the cabin attendant & hotel manager stopped by with extra goodies. I didn’t complain just phoned & said something had been missed. With the whole covid thing it shouldn’t have been but we are all human at the end of the day.
  13. We will be in AQ in May but are usually in a suite. Can no longer justify higher fares now we are both retired. I’m sure we will notice a difference. The difference being I won’t have cooked the food, served or washed the dishes. I won’t have cleaned the bathroom or made the bed. That alone makes me a happy customer. However if price is right we will try a move up bid - if we succeed then grand. If not we are happy with our choices.
  14. We too wait to the end of the trip. It wouldn’t occur to me to do otherwise.
  15. We tip extra but not everyone does. So I think whatever you give is most likely appreciated.
  16. Was on Apex in October. Never had to wait. If our ‘usual’ table & our servers weren’t available they sat us elsewhere. We did notice we were sat in the same area of Luminae for the 3 sittings. Often had a window table especially if I was on my own at breakfast.
  17. In March was a land trip holiday. Got covid. In October was on Apex & came back with pneumonia. Ended up in hospital for observation. In January another land trip ended up with strep throat & bronchitis. Very unwell same as I was with covid but was negative throughout. It’s not just on ships. On Silhouette in May - let’s see what I’ll pick up 😁
  18. We plan to go to Bruges for the day. Itinerary changes are just part of risks of cruising. Annoying but just make the best of it is all we can do really. Not the first itinerary change we’ve had & I doubt it will be the last.
  19. My acknowledgment went into spam.
  20. Thank you @kitkat343 that’s really helpful.

  22. Having seen the cabanas I’d Stick to the retreat. There were lots of available sun loungers on our sailing in October. However the retreat wasn’t full so I’m certain that would have made some difference.
  23. I’ve stepped in one & have no desire to do so again. Same as I don’t want to have an inside or oceanview cabin. I like a proper balcony. It’s my haven & my place for early morning tea. Bliss.
  24. And at those prices some people may start looking at the more luxury lines to see how they compare.
