  1. Wonder if they read these boards? Or how to tell them how disappointed we are?
  2. On Apex last week & we know of SS guests eating in Blu. However ship wasn’t full so don’t know if that influenced it. I don’t know if restaurants similar but we loved Fine Cut & are there twice. Favourite was Eden. Wouldn’t do Le Petit Chef really. And we could order off MDR in Luminae- again maybe as ship wasn’t full. They also had fillet mignon available- just need to ask. Have a great cruise!
  3. We heard horror stories about certain tours as well. We used Moti Bar Tuv Travel Israel & Eli was fantastic. Cannot recommend highly enough.
  4. Having viewed an IV on Apex last week I’d say any SV would be better! Not helpful I know 😁
  5. We like Celebrity and have not tried the other lines so thank you for posting as it’s given food for thought especially as we aren’t a fan of the IV on E class.
  6. Maybe we should set up a petition to get Silhouette reinstated. (Joke)
  7. We sailed on Apex & got off on Saturday. A lovely ship but we were in retreat. We are on Silhouette in May in Aqua. As I said elsewhere, If Apex is to be regular for Southampton we will try SV or stick to suites. Or try another line. We viewed an IV as I was interested to see if I’d like it. I didn’t. A shame as I’d cruise more often. Of most people I spoke to the IV were marmite!
  8. We went to Sounion. Used Demetris from PK Travel. It was fantastic day out. Demetris was knowledgeable but didn’t come in with us.
  9. Just off Apex in a CS. I requested a kettle & fresh milk was delivered every other day. I had taken my own tea bags.
  10. Was in Luminae on Apex, got off on Saturday. GF bread was poor. But I didn't preorder food. There was always something I could eat. I prefer not to have crackers or bread with cheese so not an issue for me. I don’t generally eat cakes or desserts anyway.

  12. Same I don’t know anyone with it. In March so many people I knew had it.
  13. We also have to remember that there are still other viruses out there. I am just getting over a bad cold. I’ve been testing every other day but the symptoms are very similar. So my immune system is already down so who knows? I’ll just be careful on board.
  14. I hope you feel better soon. We are sailing Apex tomorrow. In a CS. Covid is something I’m concerned about but I’ve had my autumn booster. Dh hasn’t as isn’t eligible yet. Ship doesn’t look at full capacity so hopefully that will help as not so full for lifts etc. We are taking tests with us so we will soon know if we are unwell & then will report. Hopefully not 🤞
  15. I managed to escape it until March this year, even when dh had it. I’ve never been so unwell. It was grim. I know I’m taking a risk but I’m sailing on Monday so too late to back out now!
  16. I would hope not. Couple of cabins no problem. All of them? It’s bordering on taking the mickey.
  17. My friends & I having started drinking cremant far more. Obviously some are better than others but on the whole as good as lower end champagne & half the price. Much better than Prosecco.
  18. I hope you feel better soon. Were they testing people on the ship? I assume people would have to present themselves for testing. We are sailing next week & we always take a box with us so hopefully we can keep track of it if we are unwell.
  19. We’ve done cruises in July & August in the Med & land holidays & as others have said it’s crowded & very hot. Days are long as well so if you can have a couple of sea days or land trip after to rest. I prefer early June & September in the Med as it’s not so hot but had to stick to school holidays when the children were young.
  20. When we go away with friends we may occasionally meet for dinner or drinks. We don’t spend the whole time together. We’ve done it a few times & it works. Enjoy your cruise. You’ve paid a premium to be in a suite so don’t waste it.
  21. Good idea. I’d always rather have cheese than any dessert.
  22. I should imagine there are several. We stayed in hotel in Cornwall last year & men had to be in jacket & tie. No shorts were allowed.
  23. What’s the difference between slacks & pants? Thank you
  24. I hope we don’t get covid but if we do we do! Just hope it’s when we are back home rather than on the ship.
