  1. For the first night, I normally bring a nice bottle of Schramsberg J Schram. Just chill and enjoy!
  2. It was able to settle for about 6 days and it poured cleanly.
  3. I've actually done both with no confiscation....yet.
  4. I took a 2000 Pétrus Pomerol earlier this year and we were going to have it in Murano (Anniversary Dinner). I coordinated with the Sommelier to come down at 5 and properly decant it. Our reservation was for 8 and it was perfect.
  5. Be patient, they cancelled the Japan/Asian cruises for the third year in a row due to Covid concerns and are trying to do their best in repositioning ships. Celebrity is a fabulous cruise line and the onboard employees will bend over backward to make your vacation special.
  6. Yes, you both get double points. Book connected cabins and you will have your own two bathroom suite.
  7. Nothing....the DW and I booked two connecting rooms on a Mexico cruise out of LA because our aviation discount travel agent could get us balcony cabins with All In for $350 per person, minus port fees/taxes. If we tried to book 1 cabin the price was 3 times as much...really strange but now we have two connecting rooms and an extra bathroom. It's gonna be a great cruise! Now we each get double points and the cruise is also a double point cruise so 4x the points (I hope).
  8. We normally go to a place next to the Embassy Suites the morning our cruise departs, great service and it will save some time and money while on the cruise.
  9. Thanks all for the response but I was simply asking a question to see if anyone had experience with this. I think she needs a passport and don't need to be reminded by others of what is best, I already knew that.
  10. No, you just get the amenities associated with suites. Retreat Lounge, Luminae, Sundeck if the ship has it and a sweet Silver SeaPass Card.
  11. Yes, my curiosity was that her current marriage certificate shows her previous married name but there is another box that has her maiden name.
  12. My DW and I had this cabin all to ourselves for a New Years cruise and it was fabulous. For the second room, there was a couch and a chair that made into beds. The primary bedroom is the first room and the room with balcony access was the "kids" room. We had the cabin next to the corner balcony.
  13. I am aware of the birth certificate requirement but since her name does not match, she also has to show proof of a name change. My question was will her current marriage certificate that mentions her maiden name suffice.
  14. If it's TA provided OBC, it's refundable or just load that amount onto a slot machine and room charge it. Then cash out and cash in the ticket.
  15. A quick question to this forum before I spend hours on hold with Celebrity. My sister in law does not have a passport and the cruise I booked her on is in 6 weeks. She has a birth certificate with her maiden name and a current marriage certificate that used her previous married name but also states her Maiden name as well. Does anyone here have experience using this for travel and will it pass muster with the cruise line. We may be able to expedite a passport but we are hoping that the birth and current marriage certificate will suffice.
  16. Not true, we have taken 10 X cruises since September '21 and we both get offers from BCC.
  17. They don't really care, the coffee creamer should just fine.
  18. Last fall we did a 12 night Ultimate Southern (no ABC) on Equinox and 11 night ABC on Silhouette, I will miss those cruises.
  19. Totally real, the DW and I just booked back to backs since we both had an offer. All we paid was taxes and port fees.
  20. Bonaire is the best of the ABC's....IMHO.
  21. The problem with the B2B's for us is that they are normally East/West Caribbean and not ABC. It would be amazing if X took one ship and did nothing but 14 days bouncing around the Caribbean, that way you head down south and still hit some eastern ports on the cruise back.
  22. On one of our last cruises, the sommelier was opening up bottles normally on the bottle only list and pouring them for the customers. Maybe they all won't do this but we found it kinda fun tasting the other wines on the menu. I'm not sure if you could buy a glass but with the the premium beverage package, they were serving us a different selection of wine each night.
  23. If you are in a cabin class below AquaClass, I would suggest bidding for an upgrade if the cost is less than $200 per person or upgrading to AquaClass the minute you board via Customer Service. On a January Apex cruise, the cost for a week pass was $235 per person and the upgrade from our IV to AQ was only $200 per person. We enjoyed an AquaClass upgrade for less than the Thermal pass.
