  1. It's even worse on the multiple Facebook groups.
  2. I have never seen 4000 people lined up to get off the ship at 8am, even on debarkation. In reality, budget 10-15 minutes to get off the ship once it's been cleared by customs.
  3. If you are in port, when they make the announcement that the gangway is available, head on down and get off the ship. It should take no longer than 15 minutes (and that is a huge line).
  4. If you want to see Venice, I would fly in 4-7 days early and just get a hotel on the island and relax and enjoy getting lost in all the wonderful alleys. That way, when you board the ship and spend the first night in port, you can tour Ravenna without the stress of travel back and forth to Venice.
  5. Worse case scenario is you get there really early and have to stop for a nice breakfast before you board.
  6. It depends on the port and the excursion. We recently booked a small group excursion in Tenerife and it was a 32 person mini bus loaded to the gills. It didn't really feel like a small group to us but it's all about the number when making that claim of "small". Other places, the number could be smaller, I really don't know.
  7. I have dropped off my luggage at 9am before. I had a rental car that we needed to drop at Miami airport so we just dropped the luggage off early in an effort to not be dragging it back via the train. Took the train from MIA to FLL and then an Uber back to the port for an 11am boarding time.
  8. On the Apex Retreat deck, we found the nice couchs along the wall were well shaded and a great place to camp out and read/relax/nap. Hopefully Edge is similar.
  9. Eat all 4 meals in Eden, you can thank me later!!
  10. To add to this question, we did the Escape room on Navigator in June and are sailing again tomorrow. Is there any chance that it is different?
  11. The more you look at this, the more confusing it gets. I saw a 7 day cruise on an older ship that had AI pricing at only $250 more for the full 7 days. I priced another 7 day on a newer ship leaving the next day and the AI pricing was $600 more. When I am booking now, I am on about 6 different TA sites as well as Celebrities in an effort to score the best deal. It is so time consuming but worth it in the end.
  12. Agreed, it's hard for us to justify that price to sail on Celebrity. You can sail RSSC, Seabourn and other ultra deluxe lines for about the same money or less.
  13. I tend to book via an Aviation related travel agent that has killer prices on All Included fares. So if I want to cruise with drinks, tips and WIFI....X absolutely marks the spot (no other big box cruise line even comes close). I like other lines for other reasons and lately with the crowded ships, we have gravitated to small ships (Windstar is our favorite). I would not hesitate to book an X cruise if the price was right though.
  14. It was nice when they were first introduced but with the addition of AquaClass and the loss of some of the perks due to COVID (priority embarkation...), I'm not sure there is that much value beyond extra CC points and a better cabin location. If the price is right, book it.
  15. If you thought a limited happy hour is better than 4-6 free drinks at any bar at any time, you may need to reevaluate some things. I agree that the cruise lines are cutting back a bit but on this one, you are 100% wrong.
  16. The "rules", the people checking wine are usually the security staff that don't know who is who. If you have two and your cabin mate has two in your separate carryon's, they will never know. Worst that could happen is that they keep the other two bottles safe for you on the ship.
  17. Or you could book a Porthole Veranda with the All Included package for $3600 and use the savings to buy spa passes and specialty dine every night.
  18. It's supposed to be "healthier", not really exotic!
  19. There is no way I can drink $100+ a day in alcohol, juice, soda, coffee and water. When the All In price calculates out to less than $50 a day for drinks and WIFI, I will buy it.
  20. The "All Included" pricing is all over the map right now. Just priced a few cruises out and I saw a price differences of between $387 on Solstice to $597 on Apex for 7 day cruises. This was on X's website...I am going to see what the differences are on a few online TA's I use. Either way, when you subtract automatic gratuities from both, it equates to $37.80- $67.78 a day for drinks and WIFI, a MUCH better deal.
  21. Unless the cost from Royal was less than $30 for both of you, cancel and just take an Uber/Lyft/Taxi.
  22. Amtrak is currently NOT operating cross border trains.....it totally sucks! If you try to book Amtrak, it will be bus service.
