  1. Is this for real??? I love it! How can I get one for my Kleenex?
  2. I'm a fan of Mike Swan's paintings of Bermuda buildings. Does he have a gallery in Bermuda at the present time...and where is it?
  3. Thank you Suncitycruiser. This is exactly the info I was hoping for.
  4. Glad to hear LGA has had a facelift. I appreciate your advice about adjusting my departure from the ship. That's certainly do-able. Thanks for your feedback.
  5. No...don't need wheelchair accessabililty. Just need "available" accessability. Thanks for your answers. I've planned and perhaps over-planned every aspect of this trip....just don't have a ride back to the airport worked out yet. I do appreciate your advice!
  6. I am 80 years old. My husband is 85. We don't sprint down the concourse anymore. Also...American Airlines advises two hours. We have TSA Precheck and that helps, but we'd rather show up early than late. Anyway...thanks for your advice and for caring. Now...to my original question...are taxis readily available at the port?
  7. My flight is at noon. I'm allowing the customary 2 hour prior to flight check in.
  8. I guess I just don't know how to use the "Search" feature on CruiseCritic or I'm not patient enough to go through all the dis-associated info that pops up...but I have a question and need your advice/help. How accessable are regular taxis at Brooklyn Cruise Terminal? We expect to be off the ship between 8:30 and 9:00 and need to be at LaGuardia by 10:00. Should I anticipate a problem in getting a taxi or should I arrange a limo in advance?
  9. Thank you. I did my google research around 5 oclock...rush hour. I wasn't considering the traffic impact at that time. You've made me feel much better!
  10. It is reasonable to schedule a noon flight out of LGA after my cruise aboard MSC Mereviglia? I'll be doing self-debarkation. Will taxis be readily available? Should I plan to schedule a limo rather than take a taxi? When I booked my flight I had no idea that GoogleMaps allows an hour or more for this trip. Sure hope I didn't make a mistake🤔
  11. Well I do. Thanks for the link. We love Bermuda and look forward to a return in August aboard MSC Meraviglia.
  12. A few months ago I ordered the "always available" steak on Divina YC. It was one of the best steaks I've ever had...ever!
  13. You're probably not going to make it. You need to be at the airport by 8:10 for a 10:10 flight. If you are determined to try it, be sure you are first in line to walk off the ship. Have your driver waiting for you and know where to meet him/her. Be registered for TSA Precheck at MCO. Fly"Priority". Pray!
  14. Good to know. Don't know how much time we will be using it, but for sure our two daughters will be there.
  15. Thanks to you both for your answers. Our cruise is not until August of 2023 from New York to Bermuda, but it's all I can think about. I really do tend to "over think" my vacations.....or so my family says.
  16. We have a Royal Suite on Meraveglia and our daughters have the stateroom next door to us. Will our daughters be able to enjoy our "reserved" cabana or is it only for us? Also...will all four of us be able to enjoy an in-room breakfast in the Royal Suite together?
  17. We're booked for August of 2023 and I'm already anxious to put all the itinerary together. Does Meraveglia leave from the New York port (Manhattan) or the New Jersey port (Cape Liberty)?
  18. The two-bathroom arrangement was what sold us on this type of suite. I appreciate all of the positive answers folks. I'm feeling much better about the choice I've made. Thanks!
  19. I've reserved one of the 8 Duplex Suites and am having second thoughts about the experience. The Duplex units are not actually located in the Yacht Club area of the ship. Will this impact our overall experience? I've always enjoyed the quiet and serenity of the yacht club and am worried that being on another deck will be disappointing. However, for this particular cruise, the layout of the Duplex is perfect. I sure would appreciate some expert advice/reassurance. Thanks!
  20. You can go to any beach on the island that is open. I agree that the YC beach area is a bit rough on the feet. Water shoes are a must!
  21. Thank you for your replies. I'm wondering how much privacy there is for the upstairs bedroom?
  22. I"ve recently booked the YC Duplex suite and was online looking for additional info on the layout. On some websites it seems that this particular category is listed as YC and on others it's listed as a regular suites (Aurora?) . The location of these suites is actually outside of the regular YC area of the ship. I'm wondering if the whole Yacht Club experience extends to these 8 suites in spite of their location. Thank you in advance for any reassurance and advice!
  23. Another vote for Cruise Control. Everything went perfect!
  24. Just used Cruise Control and can highly recommend them. I went from MCO to a hotel in Port Canaveral and from the pier (Divina) back to MCO. Both trips were seamless. The driver (Anthony) kept in touch with me via text throughout. I would not hesitate to go with Cruise Control!
