I am thinking about booking one of these cabins on an upcoming cruise - I understand that the are the obstrcted view in these cabins is minimal but I see they are adjacent to stairs and elevators. Will there be alot of noise from passerbys?

No, I never heard any noise from outside my door. (We were in 6033 for our first Oceania cruise a year ago.) In fact, one afternoon when I returned to the cabin, there was a passenger talking on his cell phone by the cabin door, and after I entered the cabin, I could not even hear him although he was standing right next to the door.

A great location, very little obstruction, but very small room. (We had them remove the small round glass table because it simply got in our way.)

I can confirm Cintipam's info - the rooms are perfectly quiet with plenty of view of the sky (I was in 6033) but small - the glass table takes up what little open space there is in the cabin and is no use for sitting at. I was sailing solo so I kept the table for dumping stuff but I think you wouldn't want it with a couple in the room. Unfortunately, you can really only sit at the desk (one person) or on the bed.

On the other hand, these rooms are usually a good price and the proximity to the stairs so that you can just run down one flight and be out on the biggest balcony of the ship watching the sun come up ... or down ... or whatever ... is a great asset; on a port-intensive cruise I would recommend these rooms.

Would these cabins be noisy from the casino below?  Thanks.

We stayed in 6035, one upon a time, and never heard a thing from below or above

The Casino itself isn't noisy, or crowded, so none of that would be a concern.

We have stayed in both 6033 and 6030. You really are not above the casino in those two cabins but rather above the hall between the elevators and the stairs. We never heard any noise from below. Just be prepared for very little cabin room.  We spent all our leisure time onboard elsewhere.

had cabin #6030 on Insignia.  Cabin is small, yes, but found it adequate.  Appreciated the large closets,  with plenty of room in front of them for 2 people to get ready at same time.  originally booked a GTY inside, and they put us in #6030.  It was our 1st O cruise, and was pleasantly surprised that it was really not obstructed -- what I would call a small "commander's lifeboat" takes up very little space -- of the very large rectangular window. Did not hear any noise.
