BA Strike averted (temporarily?)

The SS folks seem to think that the strike is off for the holiday period and they are re-booking people on BA at no additional cost(if that's what you had before the strike announcement). We're going to wait till Monday to make a decision. The BA sched is much more convenient for us than the Continental one. I agree with Dan though. Quite often these types of actions result in sickouts and slowdowns.

I replied to this in the maiden thread, as I did not see this one. Doug, I sent you the rules about switching out. I received them in an email. You may want to check into it, there is a lot of info there, though I am unaffected and have not checked it out.

I'm not sure an injunction, which is usually temporary, will hold.
Yup, in the UK you can expect the injunction to hold. The union is already talking about organizing a re-ballot, but that will take weeks. According to today's news, many of those who voted for a strike were shocked when the union announced a 12-day strike. Who knows what that will do for the re-ballot.
