What is the most you dumped in a casino? Either on a weekend in vegas or on a cruise vacation. What happened and what games took you for a wild ride? How did you feel about yourself? Did you laugh or flush your head down the toilet. Hahaha. Do tell.

The worst I have ever done was on a cruise, lost $3000 in 4 days, won it back on the last night.

When I played I had a strict loss limit which really didn't allow me to lose that badly.

I dumped 5 grand here in AC . Me and my buddy (both degenerate gamblers) both lost 5 grand in two shoes of blackjack .The next day we looked at our comps we got $7 each ,couldnt even get a burger lol Mike

If that should ever happen ask them to do a "quick loss", basically comps are a percentage of the expected loss, a casino however will give "quick loss" comps at a rate of around 10% of the loss if someone takes a bath in a few minutes.

I got a real craps tale. I play craps @ Coushatta in Kinder, La which HAD a 20X odds and a $20,000 Max Limit. A well known high roller from Beaumont, Texas came in two weeks ago and nailed them for $1 Million+. Needless to say the odds are now 10X with a $10,000 max. This same dude hit them for a Million+ several years ago when they dealt a 100X odds game. Needless to say we hope he stays away for a while before they drop to 2X or even single odds. I pity the poor slot players after his hit....I am sure the Indians running the place programmed the slots tighter than a drum to make up the loss.

Not on craps, many years ago while dealing at the Victoria club in London I did "take" a few million from a Saudi Prince on blackjack.

On craps, there was one guy that come to mind, one was a guy that was a serious player, 20 hours a day at the table, the swings we would see were amazing to watch.

We got a new VP (who ended up firing me:p) who demanded to be called anytime someone was winning/losing $50k or more, well this particular player played crapless craps, where the 2,3,11,12 can be points.

This guts pattern was $3k on the line, $3k odds and $3k coming with $3k odds. If the come bet went to one of the outside numbers he would then place that number as well for $3k and start putting up $4k horn bets.

Needless to say I had the great pleasure of waking my idiot VP up many times an hour to say "he's up $50k, oh nope, he lost it, nope he's up $50k"

I knew I was going to have problems with this VP when he explained to me that a craps player cannot have a come bet and a place bet on the same number  Don't you just love working for people who don't have a clue.

VERY interesting! Thanks for the story. I always wanted to play crapless craps but could never find the game......

Anyway, about losing all that money. They should have a place like this with a casino. It would make losing 10K a drop in the bucket. Would you deal cards at a place like this? FREE BUFFET COMPS and vodkas for all players! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!

:p:D

Jetwet...Question about "crapless" craps...1) The true odds on 2and/or 12 come bet would be 6:1...what are the odds on a PLACE bet 2 and/or 12? 2) What are the true odds on a 3 and/or 11 come bet? 3:1 ??? What are the PLACE odds payoff on a 3 and/or 11? Thanks

HHHHHEEEEELLLLLLLLLLOOOOO LSTEFFA: What is wrong with someone going up to a table and winning lots of money? When someone plays for that much money and wins it is good for the casino. Others will then go to the casino and play. They probably won't be as fortunate as the high roller. The casino will make it's money back.

CP ......Do you really think that losing a million+ to one craps player is GOOD for the casino? Hardly....How many AVERAGE craps players have to be ground down to recoup the million+. The fact is the casino reduced the true odds allowed from 20x to 10X to the players disadvantage.

For me I'm a craps (learning) and roulette player. I have a 2K limit on a cruise and I have done well living by that. I really wish I had the guts to play hardball but I can't get myself to do it.

I did see a guy a few years ago that rolled up to the craps table in a wheelchair and laid out 2k. He had 2 well dressed gentlemen assist him. He was very well dressed, about 60 Y/O and heavy set. I also noticed that he had a large amount of rings and bracelets on. One of the bracelets said champion. It looked like the world champion poker bracelet.

Anyway, he went down in flames in know time and got very upset and started yelling at the pit man and left. He turned around and came back and laid 2k more down (I was freakin). Now you have to understand that he was playing only green and black chips.

Well he went down again and cussed and left, never to be seen again.

I always have fun at craps and roulette and know my limits, but I sure enjoy playin.

We will be on the Freedom, March 21, and the Miracle Oct 18th. Hope to see you there.:D

Have dumped over $15k several long weekends in Vegas, and over 10k on 2 different cruises. Won 58k , long weekend in Vegas and $28k in one night on cruise. That's why they call it GAMBLING!!!

WOW...I take $500 and I think I'm taking a lot! And that's for a 10 day cruise!

I get nervous when I press my 6 and 8 from $6 to $12 :D Good luck on the $30 six and eight. Interesting way to play.

DH and I brought $2000 to Vegas to split between us for playing, we were there 3 days. H came home just about breaking even playing Texas Hold Em', and I came home up $300 from playing slots. Vegas was fun.

Foxwoods for one day H brought $400, again for Texas Hold Em. He came home up a couple of hundred. I brought $250 for slots, came home broke :( Foxwoods slots were so tight...I did win $40 on one pull, but lost it again in my pursuit of "the big win" lol. But I do have a really cute hat from the Foxwoods Hardrock Cafe. I look forward to wearing it on our upcoming cruise. :D

We brought enough funds to cover about $1500 in gambling on the ship on our last cruise. I did so poorly, it was sickening. Wasted about $400 on slots, it was ridiculous - I won absolutely NOTHING. Never even won $5 on any machine there. I tried changing machines when I didn't win after 5 or 6 pulls, staying on the same machine for many pulls, betting big, betting small. <sigh> I was so disgusted. DH won some and lost some, then had a really negative experience in a poker tournament in the middle of day 2. He was done after that. Overall he lost about $300, but said the fact that it wasn't fun was worse than losing money. We were both so turned off, we never went back to the casino after that. We hear about people winning hundreds or thousands of dollars, I don't know how they do it. How much do they spend? Do they bet big? No idea. But I have no desire to feed the machines this trip the way I did last time...I realize $400 over two days isn't much compared to how some people like to wager, but it's enough to cover a few cocktails, and dinner at a specialty restaurant;)

Great stories!! I'm usually pretty controlled when cruising but when there are too many days at sea, it can get ugly. Knowing how lousy the chances of winning are with the slots, I once proceeded to give them $1,000 on a short cruise but was pleasantly surprised that I got comped 2 weekend cruises from NCL as a result. Only gave those slots $200 on the comped cruise.

Once won $1,500 on a slot and then lost it all at craps. Darn!! Felt really down and stupid after that loss....especially since I was the only player and my mom kept telling me to leave. That's what happens when you drink to celebrate your win!! LOL
