ABC Cruisers Posted May 30, 2010 #1 Share Posted May 30, 2010 It has been 3 years since we were on RC and we were sure that on our last cruise, which was #9 that we told we would be diamond level on our next cruise which we have booked, which will be #10. The RC site is showing you turn diamond starting on your 11th cruise, were the levels changed up 1 cruise during the last 3 years or were we misinformed? You become Diamond after you have earned your 10th cruise credit which would be at the completion of your cruise. All cruises after would get you your Diamond Benefits. marci22 Posted May 30, 2010 #3 Share Posted May 30, 2010 Unless you got an extra point somewhere you need 10 cruises for diamond level. So you will reach it on your next cruise, but you won't get the benefits until the cruise after that.
jst Posted May 30, 2010 #4 Share Posted May 30, 2010 You have to complete your 10th cruise and then on the 11th you are Diamond. There are some new rules as the Diamonds are not allowed to use the Concierge Lounge unless in a suite, but they have a special Diamond gathering in a separate area in the evenings. Maybe a Diamond member can give you more details of how this works out:) Sorry for the duplicate details, everyone must have been answering you at the same time. madforcruising Posted May 30, 2010 #5 Share Posted May 30, 2010 Was one of those cruises in a Suite (GS or higher)? Was one of those cruises 12+ nights? If yes you earned extra cruise credits and would be diamond already. If no you have 9 cruise credits now and have to wait until after your next cruise is completed to reach diamond level. The Diamond Lounge on the Freedom of the Seas is in an area right off the Viking Crown Lounge. Enjoy your cruise.

It can take a person less than 10 cruises and become Diamond because of sailings in JS or higher and 12 nights or longer. OP......Look at your cruise history found in MY CRUISES, it will give you your past sailings with how many credits you earned per cruise. ***

yogimax Posted May 31, 2010 #11 Share Posted May 31, 2010 RCCL is different from Carnival where you reach "Platinum" with your tenth cruise, not after it.
