I designed my own Carnival ship for fun

Kinda off beat, but what about windows under water, not in the cabins but an observation area below the water line. Kind of like a moving aquarium.

The space below the waterline are engines, crew cabins and all the stuff used to power and steer and the ship. It would be cool though. ;)

so... are you going to paint us pics of all the good stuff??? I for one would love to see it

Maybe when I become good at drawing and that stuff. Sadly, for now you'll have to picture it in your mind.

So can the lazy river have at least 1 swim up bar then? Please please please!!!!!!!!! :) I have faith you can fit it in there somewhere!

What about an aft infinity pool? Would that work?

I'll see what I can do. ;)

What about having a race track go carts type ride. Also make one of the pools a float around river pool. Just a thought;). The kid in me (late 40's) would love those rides.

If you mean a lazy river, then yes. And what about Bumper Cars instead of Racing? Racing could be dangerous and takes up a LOT of space. ;)

Here's a comparison:

DREAM

WISH/WONDER

I hate to be the nitpicker here, but it looks like she needs a few more lifeboats. You have a new design that looks slightly bigger than a Dream Class with fewer lifeboats.

On the positive side, an bigger main lounge with an IMAX screen would be nice.

Yes, but like the title says, I did it for fun, so I put some unrealistic things on it. :p

Ok, I get it now. Here is an idea: No passenger cabins without a view. All inside rooms have a view of the atrium. I know many of you have traveled in windowless inside rooms, but to me ship life without a window is a bit depressing.

Hm. Currently there are no Ocean View rooms, but different classes of balconies. If I take away inside rooms, than it's all balconies...and then maybe that will allow me to create much larger staterooms! :D

What is a liufe boat balcony? Is that an obstructed balcony or are you hanging over the side like the life boats:D

They are balconies located behind the lifeboats. :)

I'll keep them cheaper than the rest...each class has it's own price too.

Great idea!!! One more thing, it MUST have several swim up bars along the way too! :)

How big is this ship?

I think a swim up bar in the adult pool would be nice. Maybe a pool area for just kids under a certain age (don't know what that would be) and their parents.

A totally non-smoking casino and piano bar! yeah, yeah I know NOT profitable!

I'd also like an outside promanade (sp) deck that goes around the whole ship! Loved it on the Veendam!

Swim up bar in Adult Pool -- we'll see. ;)

Pool Area for kids and parents -- no, but they will have their own splash/slide area in waterworks.

Wrap-around promenade -- certainly will do that. :)

Thanks -- I'm thinking of some unique things to put on the ships...any ideas?

It needs to have a full-length running/jogging track.

Some ship designers take this very simple task to heart and add the 4 foot wide lane so runners can have a quarter mile lap. This is extremely important to those of us training for a fall marathon. Doing an hour or two on a treadmill is not fun!

Unfortunately, tomorrow, I once again sail on Miracle where 15 loops is one mile! I lose count very quickly. It is absolutely the worst of any ship I've been on. The Disney ships and Norwegian Star each provide a quarter mile loop and it is fabulous. On the Disney ships it goes all the way up front through the area where the anchor and ropes/lines are kept - very cool, especially when coming in to port and there's activity taking place.

For your new ship, maybe you can come up with an innovative route for the jogging path? Maybe an enclosed glass tunnel over/through the top of the bridge? I'll leave the specifics up to the architect/engineer.

Looking forward to it.

Howard

CruiseStar, you have done a gret job with this. :) I love your ideas and vision

I like the bumper cars at sea on the Wish. How is the Spa going to be and the gym?

At the moment, the Spa is just like the one on Dream -- but I'm thinking of ways to make it better...like maybe a solarium or Spa Pool. :)
