FKGirl Posted September 17, 2010 #8 Share Posted September 17, 2010 My favorite question is "Do I need my passport?" Cell phones work, as do US dollars. http://FloridaKeysGirl.com
4mysins Posted September 19, 2010 #9 Share Posted September 19, 2010 The one I love is when I get a call and the caller on the other end wants to know how it "is down there" and are they friendly? Really? Are you Serious.... I am just a few "states" away. Haha... Someone needs more coffee in the mornings.
Aquahound Posted September 19, 2010 #10 Share Posted September 19, 2010 My favorite question is "Do I need my passport?" Yea, that's a good one too. I've heard that a couple times....along with "What language do we speak?" or "What direction does the sun set down there?"
bouhunter Posted September 19, 2010 #11 Share Posted September 19, 2010 I think you can buy a Conch Republic passport:) Yeah cell phones work. 3 years ago we were there the first week of April and my mother in law had been telling my wife before we left that it was a dumb time to go since April is so nice in Michigan. My wife used her cell phone from the pool to call home when they were in the middle of a 20" snowfall blizzard and said well, it's kind of nice down here too!:D:D:D

SeaPA1 Posted December 8, 2010 #14 Share Posted December 8, 2010 Unfortunately, they do. I very nearly tossed MrsSea's into the ocean down there a couple of years ago.

RedSoxWon Posted December 10, 2010 #16 Share Posted December 10, 2010 Actually, now I'm kind of curious about how well you can pick up Cuban radio. Any favorite stations?
near the beach Posted February 17, 2011 #17 Share Posted February 17, 2011 When using a cell phone on the ship docked in Key West are you using the ships expensive cell connections? How far from land can you use you cell phone before you start using the ship rates?
Rare BillOh Posted March 28, 2011 #18 Share Posted March 28, 2011 When using a cell phone on the ship docked in Key West are you using the ships expensive cell connections? How far from land can you use you cell phone before you start using the ship rates? I would assume that would show up as ROAMING on your phone? Verizon and sprint both had good signals when I was there. The only time I ever used a cell phone on a cruise was here so I could look up Blackfin Bistro's number and address :D
