HHHHHEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLOOOOO dolphiness: A few years ago I played on the $5 slot. I don't remember how many coins I put in before I hit, but, I had a good day there. The higher the amount you put in the less you lose on a percentage basis.

:eek: Oh I'm not brave enough for dollars yet!! I still enjoy the penny slots but a few weeks ago on Victory my husband was playing quarters our first night on board, and after two pulls, he was up $750.00 :D

 

Of course, I got the usual "lecture" about wasting my time and money playing pennies!:rolleyes: I know he's right but I just can't get past the "quarter" phase!:)

Think about it...on most "quarter slots", you're playing max bet, which is $.75-$1.00 per pull (if you're not playing max bet, you should!!!). Many dollar machines (in land-based casinos, anyway...I don't remember on the ship!) have a max bet of 2 credits (or $2.00)...not that much in the scheme of things!

 

You could play one machine for days and never hit...or you could hit on the first pull...you never know...that's why it's GAMBLING!

The only thing I can tell you is that generally the higher denomination of machine, the higher the payout percentage. Of course the key is to find the right machine...

We did a slot pull on the Epic - 14 of us each put in $21 for a total of $294. Everyone took 7 spins ($3 max bet each) on the Wheel of Fortune game. After everyone was done, we spilt the proceeds - $24 each. No big win, but everyone walked away a winner..
