Ha anyone received? I noticed something a tad strange. On 12/20/12 they have 2 ships leaving Ft. Lauderdale. One is the Whisper and the other is the Spirit. Could this be an error or is there a high demand for Christmas/New Year's cruises that SS can fill 2 ships? Or will they make the Spirit the family cruise and the Whisper the adult? What do you think?

Spirit gets back from that cruise 3 Jan and doesn't start the South America cruise until 10 Jan, so there's probably a short refurb period for her between cruises. There are some crew changes between Whisper and Spirit during that time as well. Capt Corsaro will move from Spirit to Whisper, as will Mauro Mazzola( the Chief Engineer of Spirit).

This is really the high season for Florida so it's not too surprising, plus it sets up each ship for it's itineraries post Florida. In fact, in early January the Spirit is in Fort Lauderdale on January 3, and both the Cloud and the Whisper are there on January 7.

Disturbing that SS has decided to have a separate pricing booklet. We sadly feel

that this is just another indication of how fragile the world economy, especially our American economy, has become. In many ways this makes us more determined than ever to sail the world with our treasured SS fleet.

I agree. If we like Silversea, then we need to support the company in good times and bad!

We're trying as hard as we can! Less than 2 months until we're back on PAII (Silver Explorer)... :D
