Best way to keep in touch?

A group of us are travelling together on our first cruise, but we are not the spend every minute together types. So, normally we stay in touch via cell when we do our own things on land vacations, but that won't be possible on ship or port, so what is the best way to keep in touch if we do seperate activities?

thanks:D

Post it notes on doors works well. Have a general idea of times when people will be back and meet after that. Have a meeting locations- bars, lounges, the pool, the Lido- at pre-determined times.

It seems you don't want to be spending every minute together- why the concern about meeting? Every night at dinner would be fine, or at a bar an hour before for a drink.

Some will suggest family radios. Please don't follow up on that.

When we cruise with friends we both do our own thing but often its the same thing. We don't do any ship tours but do take tours off the ship. We talk about those and often they join us as we do like doing the same type of things. We are doing our 3rd B2B together in the fall and have taken 7 cruises with them since we met on Princess in '06. We usually end up on the same deck when at sea- we let them know where we'll be and they find us if they want to and arent' doing something else. This works fine, and we stay friends.

Thanks for the ideas. I can promise we won't use radios - ho annoying is that! Post-its is a great idea. We do usually end up doing the same tour or beach type outings as we like the same things, but I was concerned that on ship if someone wanted to lay out on the deck and someone wanted to read on the balcony, how would you keep in touch. But we can probably just say "see ya for lunch" or "meet for dinner". Thanks again!

The only time our group meets up is for dinner. Any other time it is by chance. We do know each others habits so it is easy to find the other if needed. Lido, buffet, casino, a few not-so-well known decks.
